Who else got this ending?

Post by Tavi »

Strangely enough, I haven't seen it mentioned in any walkthroughs so far. What happens is that I tell TTO that I put his shadows out of their misery. TTO is shocked at what he hears and teleports himself to check if what I say is true. Meanwhile, I resurect all my companions and give TTO the beating of his life when he returns.

I've encountered that ending last run through, however I reloaded because I was trying to get the ending where TNO and TTO merge together

Tavi, I did, but TTO beat the tar out of me. What happens if you kill it?

"Killing" the Nameless One's mortality (what a concept) forces it to merge with the Nameless one again, which means he becomes mortal again and his fate catches up with him.

For what it's worth, I told TTO that I killed his shadows, so fortunately I was able to resurrect all of the Nameless One's companions. But instead of fighting TTO when he returned, I convinced him to merge with the Nameless One. At that point, instead of simply dematerializing and entering the afterlife, the Nameless One had a chance to say goodbye to all of his companions before his fate caught up to him. In my opinion, that's the most desirable ending. I certainly didn't want to leave any of my party members dead on the floor.

^ You're confusing two endings.

Once TTO goes to check on the Shadows so you can raise all your party members, you do not ever enter dialog with him again. When he comes back some WAV of him talking plays and he goes hostile immediately.

Merging with TTO instead allows you to raise all your party members after the merge.

You're right, Platter. Sorry for the confusion.

my end was extremely buggy since i was able to talk about stuff over and over again, without being able to engage in battle with TTO, i just talked about smth like "i'll raise someone" and then did it again and again until everyone were resurrected.. i had to attacks him during the dialogue to be able to fight TTO, it was strange, i thought i tried every possible talk variations, but i never saw that "i killed the shadows" part.. i did have 25wis/int during the last talk

hmm patches might do the trick, but the game was very buggy for me all the way through.. were it not so good i might've not finished it at all..
