Nice armchair moderating, there...

In all seriousness though, I'm not sure Venom's post is a violation of rule #3. Profanity is defined by the filter. Since words like sex, porn and whatnot aren't a part of it I can only assume Buck doesn't mind them being used on the forums. But then again the decision is up to SYMs resident moderators, not up to you or me.

Regardless, unless a post is blatantly violating forum rules it's probably better to just hit the report button than attempting to armchair moderate. SYMs mods are experienced and I don't really think they need coaching from the user base.
Without trying to read to much into anything - I would strongly tink it was the "sexual explicit" part of forum rule #3, and not the profanity that Brynn was directing at.

I would say that the "offending" posts is borderlining, but I'll let it stand for now, because it seems harmless enough and not really that explicit, although some wording could be better and less juvinile, which would have left little to no doubt that it was okay. :)

EDIT: Also - yes. It is good to use the Report Button.
But when there are (clear) violations, it dosen't hurt that the userbase tries to moderate itself as well - although the Moderators (or possible even Buck) would likely always post as well just to make it "official".
But in ambiguous cases, I'd recommend using the report post instead of having the userbase policing themselves. Because even moderators can be wrong, but it is part of the "job" - but when users moderate without proper reason it can create hostility.

I'm wioth Brynn on this one. It's useful to pull the poster up, so that he realises, and hopefully stops posting similar material, rather than wait till a moderator makes the point, between which time the offendor may have potentioally posted many times. This thread is kinda going of subject now (no thanks to yours truly :p )
Mag: Don't remember much at all of last night do you?
Me: put simply.... No :D
Mag: From what I put together of your late night drunken ramblings? Vodka, 3 girls, and then we played tic-tac-toe and slapped each other around.

Hahahahahaha

So much contreversy over some words. To those I have offended, well I feel sorry for you, because if that offends you then the rest of the word must scare you!. And I still stand by what I said as bieng non offensive or explicit, without exact detail I told a story, sure I could'a put in better formed/refined
wording but I didnt because ultimately its innocent of evil thought. Besides can anyone here honestly tell me they never seen naked before the age of 14?. You know if anything I would go so far as to say many 14 year olds have sex, trust me I should know having been there and having done that!
Before I leave this here thread (having been the only person to truly confess to a dark secret that actually got the forum talking!) I wanna say this since its all to true, and to those of you who have yet to experience it then its something to look forward to.
Sex IS the spice of life, without it everyone would simply twiddle there thumbs till they died!.

Nah, that's just fairy tales. Socks have a very meaningful life, and all of them are married, but unfortunatly the divorce ratings are through the roof in the sock society. So all the socks that leave their partners goes to through a black hole in hope of finding a new love. While the ones that are left behind end up as single sock losers, who gets holes in them and wither and die.

Obviously, my dark secret is that I have deep philosophical thoughts about socks, clementines and why the dinasauros' became extinct. (they didin't have toilet paper  )
Fortunatly I am usually able to keep myself from spilling them though.

You suck at making excuses! :p

As for my dark secret. When I was young, perhaps 13 or 15, I really can't remember, I almost set a forest on fire. There was this big heap of leaves, twigs and what else in the middle of a small wood where we were on a holiday. I stole some matches from my grandma and tried to make a fire. I threw it in the middle of the heap but the fire didn't start, probably because it had been raining the past few days.
A few seconds later I got called back, because we were going somewhere. When we came back from that somewhere, we heard sirens. Apparently the heap of leaves and twigs caught fire, burned some small bushes and grew quite large. The fire department of the local town had to come to the forests’ rescue! I believe my nephew told my parents that I had set it on fire, for he was with me when I threw the matches, but they didn't believe him. I have such an angelic face! :D
