Codebook

For the fighters guild, you have to get a codebook from Slottide and I dont know an easy way to make her give it to me. Help!

Well, if you're not in the theives guild you can get her to give it to you if her disposition is above 80, but if you're in the theives guild, your only options are to kill her or pickpocket her. Unfortunately, both of those usually mean being expelled (which costs 1000 drakes to make up for.)

I've never done that quest, but I would think Wraith-Of-Egg's plan should work. If taunting doesn't work, bribe her.

Bribing doesn't work if you belong to both quilds.. but if you finish all thief quest first you dont need to do that quest.

My speechcraft is at fifteen, but I did try that before and i got tired of doing that and just attacked her, but that was when it was at level 6, so I will try it again. Thanks!

I just did this quest last night - get her Disposition towards you over 80 or so, and she just gives you the book. Worked like a charm.

Speechcraft is an excellent skill! Don't leave home without it.

This only works if you are not in the theives guild. If you are, she will not give it to you even if you are Master Thief.

Speak to Gentleman Jim Stacey in Vivec to get past this without annoying Sottilde.

I was in both the Fighters and Thieves Guilds, and bribed her successfully and repeatedly. She then gave me the codebook.
