hi everyone..
i have a question.. ive just returned from the drow-world and choose the evil path.. ive killed adalon, and took the blood to make the human flesh armor..
i still have the real dragon eggs and the fake ones from saulofein..
and went to umar hills to make the evil-armor.. (i cant use it though, because the armor i already have is better) but anyway.. i was wondering what i can use the eggs for..
greets bluebabe

EDIT: Hmmm, I had an idea for what might be an interesting mod, and posted it, but I'm going to snip it out because I've decided to earn my modding creds by writing it myself
If someone saw it before I edited it, I'll kindly ask that you not steal the idea, as you can now consider it already under development
instead of "remaining silent" or telling the demon lord to go away, you can actually give him the eggs and get something for 'em.
Actually, you can do that now - it's just that you're only given the dialog option if you're main character is evil (even neutral won't do). You can trade the eggs in for a halberd (Blackmist +4). Not that it's all that great a weapon either ...

Course, such a mod could also fix what really annoys -me-, which is the fact that the silver dragon's reward for getting her divinely-created eggs back for her is a freaking crossbow (?!) and not even a -good- crossbow. Heck, it barely ranks as a mediocre crossbow. I'm usually -not- one for increasing rewards (I'm very conscious of game balance), but that has to be the single lamest reward for the effort in all of BG2, and a mod that improved the item rewards for both good and evil characters (good gets it from Adalon, evil gets it from giving the eggs to the minor demon lord) would be a pretty good thing.

Quinn, but you gotta agree that during the Underdark mission (and everything in the underdar is directly or not directly related to Adalon's quest, a major quest) you'll receive a helluva lot of good items. The Equalizer, Harbringer, Bone Blade (the better dagger you may get in SoA AFAIK), Crossbow of Affliction, Wave Halberd (very handy elemental damage vs mages, better than the damage the FoA does), Spear of Withering (venom and +4 power, you may beat a Demogorgon with that), the girdle of some Giant strenght (sorry, forgot wich one exactly), the Gorgon Plate... a LOT items. Not to mention they have some of the best spell selection on both enemies and on stores. When I enter the Underdark (calculated that a few times) I spend a lot of money with spells and equipment for the party, and when I go out and sell the loot I always have far more money than when I entered (at least 25% more, I calculated that
). And the main reward Adalon gives you is the spell to hide you inside the Drow citadel. So, she saves your skin, you save her eggs, and you win a crossbow and a few magic stones in exchange!!!
But regarding the evil path, you're probabily right. The egg should be exchanged to some favour granted by the demon - like 2 points of some stat, or some huge major item, or perhaps the joining of the demon when fighting Irenicus in hell. The eggs are useless, and I'd prefer a silver leather armor FAR more than just the blood for human flesh, that IMO is kind of a hollow armor.

Flesh to stone ain't permanent, it seems.
Luis,
Yeah, you're right, you get lots of nice stuff along the way, but I think that makes the rewards at the end all that much more anti-climactic.
Alright, to heck with it, I'll post my ideas here and you guys can tell me what you think to improve it:
Good path: After dismissing the demon, and only IF you both armed and freed the slaves and freed the tortured djinn, Adalon's imp shows up in the ritual house and tells you that Adalon's impressed both with your strength and your charity. She offers a superior reward if, in addition to returning her eggs, you remove the threat of Ust Natha as a base of operations for invading the temple once and for all so that she can leave guilt-free. Some of the drow would be substantially "enhanced" so as to make wiping out the city considerably tougher than it is now. If the character then clears Ust Natha completely, Adalon will reward the player by either increasing a stat by 2 points, or, if I get really ambitious, I may do up a thing whereby she offers to upgrade a weapon obtainable by the player, and the player can choose from a list. My intent would be to -not- upgrade any of what are currently considered the best weapons in each class (for example, Flail of Ages) but rather what most folks who dual wield would choose to put in their offhand (for example, Defender of Easthaven). I'd pick one from each weapon type, and give the player a choice of which one to upgrade. The upgrade would generally be nice but not hugely overpowered, more to make off-hand weapons more useful in later TOB. For example, Daakon Zerth's blade gets an extra +1 so it can hit the more powerful TOB critters, and also adds an additional 5th level spell if wielded by a mage. Defender of Easthaven also gets an additional +1 to hit and provides an extra -1 AC. That kinda thing.
An alternate "prize" for the player that I'm considering is to basically grant the player (or the entire party, if it can't be implemented on a single-character basis) the ability to wear multiple magic items at once (such as magical rings with magical armor) and have them stack. Yeah, I know, there's already an ease-of-use mod out there that lets you do that, but this would be a way for the player to -earn- that power and have it be a unique power only he (or only his party) has, which I think would be pretty cool.
Evil path: Give the eggs to the demon, and he offers you the original halberd or, for an extra fabulous prize, bring him the blood of the silver dragon -and- something else (I'm toying with making the player have to beat Drizzt and party as a part of it - only problem with that is that the loot you get from that fight is already pretty nice and to add a big prize on top of it might be over the top, so I'll have the demon ask for the best of it). Silver leather armor is a pretty interesting idea - (note: If you're liking the ideas here so far and think you'd want to play this, don't read the following, it's a major spoiler: I'd say let the demon turn it into "Corrupted Silver Scale", make it AC2, casters can cast/thieves can use their abilities while wearing it, +2 to dex and increases caster speed by 2. Maybe throw in permanent protection from good (which is useless against most critters but adds flavor). Yeah, I know, that's pretty uber, but considering you'd have to beat the silver dragon, beat Drizzt's party, -and- give up -both- the human flesh armor and Drizzt's loot for it, I don't think it's too over the top).
Note in both cases that the intent is for the extra challenge to be -really- tough. The people in Ust Natha who wouldn't be killed unless you took this path would get some serious buffing. Although I've never actually fought Drizzt before, I'd assume he's already pretty tough and I wouldn't have to do much to tweak that fight to make it a real challenge.
Ideas welcome.

I don't think that the rewards should be +2 to a stat because thats awesomely powerful, and Adalon is just a Silver Dragon, an item as a reward is much more fitting for a dragon that has been living in Underdark for all her life.
Drizzt and his party tough? Maybe if you go to underdark straight away but I did most of the outer areas and found Drizzt a push over, I could of beaten his entire party with just my Fighter/Shapeshifter (who is insanely powerful, the hardest creature I have fought with him are the improved Fire Giants, but for them i just buff up and they are manageable) I can't remember my level exactly but I remember screwing up the dialogue with him and so he attacked me so I had an auto-save so I'll give him a shot, result was a dead party of drizzt and maybe 20points of damage done to me.
But I would download your mod if you made it your way anyway![Stick Out Tongue :p](./images/smilies/)
