Skins

Post by Angelus45 »

Ok I got some skins but now I can't seem to get them to work. I have done what the read me has said but the *supposed* Beckett model is not replacing the Male Gangral that it is supposed to. Can some one help me out on how it should be done?

Thanks.

Well, here's my magic generic solution.

The file you downloaded is a zip or rar of a lot of folders, starting at the top with one called vampire. Extract this to somewhere convenient, and then drag it directly to your C:\Program Files\Activision\Vampire: Bloodlines\ directory. It'll say there already exists a folder called vampire, do you wish to continue? Hit yes-- you won't be overwriting anything unless you already extracted the paks using Turfster's tool. That's all there is to it... let me know if it doesn't work.

I've gotten the reskinned Jeanette to replace one of the hookers with no problem using this.

No, no I fixed it! Thanks for all your help.

The only problem now is I can't get my Gangral who I have already taken to almost hollywood to look like Beckett it only works if you start a new game 8(

Changing a skin mid-game is doomed to failure because almost all character/clan/skin related data is packed in your savegame. Since all the info is already in your savegame you won't be able to change it.
