The Best Tank

Post by ReignsOfPower »

What do you people out there think?
Do you believe that the Undead Hunter will tank best, or possibly a Kensai? Multi and Dual may be taken into consideration also.

I'm not sure but I think the Germans make the best tanks. At least that was true during World War 2.
When logic and proportion,
Have fallen sloppy dead,
And the White Knight is talking backwards,
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the doormouse said.

Aren't we in the humouristic corner today. :D ;)

The germans did make the best tanks in world war 2 I would give them a 9 on a scale from 1-10. The English.....2  I think that the tank-drivers walked more than they drove but now they are okey. I think that them Americans have the best now I have see some so fast and small that they can be send down by parachute! (long live discovery!! :D )

so ReignsOfPower I would go for the kensai/Sherman :)

what do you need your tank for ReignsOfPower? just for the good old block and chop so the mages can do there thing from behind? (and I do mean spell casting just so no one misunderstands "do there thing from behind")

ROFLMAO!!! :D
Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

well, considering that a paladin can use the amulet of power..they where intended to, and it will be fixed in tob. i find it robs the undead hunter of his best selling abilitiy
and you get more abilities with a cavalier.

remove fear...so many times in soa where a well timed remove fear saved the day.
poison imunity
resist fire and acid 20. with the red dragon scale and helmet of defence, and the good path reward in hell, you can have 110 fireresistance..meaning fire will actually heal you! and you still have the saving throw bonuses that the helm sports like the balduran helm.

my cavalier wears
amulet of power
ring of gaxx
red dragon scale
crom faeyr
shield of harmony
helmet of defence
gauntlets of dexterity
belt of inertial barrier
cloak of mirroring
boots of speed
ring of free action

imunities:
fear
level drain
charm
confusion
domination
+1 weapons
disease

free action (negates any movement impairing spells and abilities)
spell turning

resistances
50 magical damage resistance
110 fire resistance
40 electrical resistance
40 cold resistance
20 acid resistance

AC -10
thaco -9
3 attacks

saving throws
+1 all from helmet of defence
+2 all from being paladin
+2 all from good path in hell test
+2 all from ring of gaxx
+5 breath saves from belt of inertial barrier

strength 25
dexterity 18
constitution 19
intelligence 19
wisdom 22
charishma 20

Umm.. Lucian, you wear both Ring of Free action and Boots of spead???

Doesn't that negate the boots of speed effectiveness??? If it doesn't it should!

i dunno..but i seem to remember a topic on another board, claiming that haste spells enchanced movement, not impairing it..which the ring of free action would negate

A Kensai as the best tank!? With an AC bonus of only -2 and not able to wear armor?

How about Swashbuckler in ToB? With -9 AC bonus at level 40 and being able to "Use Any Item" (read: wear the most powerful armor ever), they should get AC down to -20.

And does anyone know what AC a capped out Monk will have in ToB?

I think the best tank would be a barbarian or a berserker. Barbarians get more hp's than regular fighters I think they hit a higher dice (can't remember what) And a berserker can use their rage (thus can barbarians). Well... dual classing sucks, no fun in it.

Well, if we do not count a cleric or druid that casts 1000000 spells before the combat i would go for the berzerker/cleric. Ok, they have to use enrage, but it can be done anytime, as it has casting time of 0. And if you dualled to a cleric you can also use the amulet of power. With that cloak of mirroring and ring of gaxx little can hurt him.

IS3...HA! it looks like a ladyshaver next to the german VIII Maus 128mm main gun and 240mm panserarmor. IS stands for Incompitent sh*t and it lasts as well as Tjernobyl.

:p
