Hmmm,I have the sneaking suspicion that the "Use Any Item" ability applies only to class-specific items,such as the Staff Of The Magi,spell scrolls,etc.The ability sounds like it enables the thief to emulate the class required for said item.It also may apply to items that require a specific alignment,e.g. Neb's Nasty Cutter (evil only).Originally posted by Xyx:

Not so sure about the Swashbuckler... They too can specialize, and while they cannot Rage they get a pretty hefty damage bonus. They would need a Strength enhancing item, of course.Originally posted by Meerlight:
