Post by Cheester89 »

I know it is nothing but a little reqest but is there anyway to meet Bastila in Kotor II. I've seen this Handmaiden and Mira and they are nothing compare with Bastilas charm and you know what... eyes. big eyes.

If you go to the right area and do the right things you can see a holo of her but not the actual character.
P.S. That's the start of an unhealthy fascination with artificial women there mate.

I think Bastila is dead. In the second Jedi war, I think she might fought the wrong person.

Like I said already it is dependant on what you say happened at the end of the first game, male/female, light/dark, etc, then if you go a specific area, (I wont say which) you can find a holo which more or less details what happened to the characters from the firts KOTOR including Bastilla.

Spoilers

Along with the holo you can watch, she appears as part of the first vision inside the secret tomb on Koriban.

I have to disagree that none of the women in KotorII compare though. About the only thing Bastila gave me through the whole game in KotorI was arrogance and snootyness. Did she ever give me anything like battle precognition, as did the Handmaiden? No. Did she fight an entire underground hideout full of nasties all by herself just to help me out, as did Mira? No. Supply the final piece for my lightsaber or begin each conversation with "my life for yours", like Visas? No. How about put on a skimpy outfit and dance for a Hutt to help me out? Uh-uh. Even when she WAS friendly all she did was give me a kiss and run away like I was tryin' to slip her a rufie. Handmaiden wrestled with me in her underwear.

Mission was the fine young woman from KotorI.

I guess to each their own.

Oh Women

I can't say anything about women in Kotor II because I haven't played it. But I've seen some screens and read some spoilers. Bastila is strange you can say but .... I like her for that. Maybe Kotor II women characters are just as good as she is but I can say that now. I belive and I expect that Mira, Handmeiden , Visas , K... (Sith one) will replace Bastila well. But there is old chinese true : Women are as Wine you know older=better. Maybe If I get common with MIra , and the rest I'll find Bastila as interesting as them.

Ps.It's not a fastination and surely it isn't unhealthy I just like her that's all.
If you 've played PoP:Warrior Within you 've already seen even betrer eyes.....
PS2 :By the way have you played Neverwinter NIghts?

SW stuff

Besides everything I've written I still can't get one thing. If Jedi have to be a sort of man without emotion without anger without fear and other kind of things then how si it possible that you can love ( :) ) Bastila without a consequeces of being a Dark Jedi. When I've played Kotor the first time I've read carefully journals or datapads how you name them of Qel Dorma , Duron (the group of light Jedi who fall to the dark side because if love) and third one. The best example surely can be Anakin when he 've seen his mother Shmi dying. Fear leads to emotions , emotions lead to anger , anger leads to suffering and in the end you'll fall - something like that (by Yoda). I know there are few more examples of love between a Jedi but I can't get it at all. And ideas?

One question what 's gonna happen when you can't perusade Bastila to leave the dark side - I gonna kill her? Anyway thanks guys! I owe you big glass of Intergalctic Beer! And may the light side guide U!

Ps.Kiss between you and Bastila is nothing but a black screen no animations no satisfaction .

Query: Why is everybody making it out that Revan was a male organic.

Inciteful Query: Wouldn't it seem that Revan was a female organic who fell deeply in love with Carth Onasi and Revan and Bastilla formed a sistership instead of a romance? In KOTOR II, when you display Revan as a male, you only get Darth Traya telling you a tale of how my Master had to leave Bastilla behind, but when you display Revan as a female you get a nice aside with Admiral Onasi begging you to give word of Revan.

Statement: It seems to me that Revan turned to be a Light Side Jedi who told Carth to hold the republic together while she handled unfinished business where he could not follow. Bastilla had to be killed and could not be saved. If Revan was Dark, male or female, then judging from the first ending the republic would not have been crippled but died, and the sith would not be hiding. Plus Carth got the promotion at the end of KOTOR I.

IF you where dark, It would be easy to see how The sith could be defeated.

The interduction of the three darth lords. They all wanted power so they sent Sith after Sith, Just like Jedi vs jedi.

The battle for power raged on and Revan and bastila went to Korriban, Carth was part of a republic force that just happened to interven as one side of the Sith vs Sith won. With little to defend themselves, the Dark lord hide, with men. They sent the men out and destory the jedi.

On Korriban, bastila faught for her life as the Sith came back. Bastila was stuck down aftre a hard fought battle. A male character would see the error in his ways and the pain and angry be let lose, Destory all the sith that fought against bastila. Then with his only true love dead revan seen teh error in his ways and set out to find teh true sith.

As a female character, the bound you formed with Bastila was so strong that you felt like one, When she died so did a part of revan. She wanted to find and destory the sith, But Carth was still in the back of her mind. If she let her angry control her, she would end up killing him. So she saught out the true sith, to learn and maybe find a weakness.

Spoilers

Actually there's some discussion throughout kotorII about those Jedi teachings. Which I thought was kind of cool. It always seemed to me that was a major flaw with the Jedi teachings. Attempting to deny your basic emotions is to deny your SELF and eventually lose track of who you are, Hence actually inviting the Dark side to consume you, because the pendulum must swing. The best way remain on the Light side is to accept and embrace your self.....Both the good and the bad.

This may sound off topic, but it's really not. The Catholic clergy is perfect example of just how flawed a teaching it is to deny oneself. For millenia they've demanded that the Officers of the church deny their basic human emotions and primal needs all in the name of being goodly and godly, but it's become apparent that in the process have been creating pedofiles, real life Sith. And have actually proliferated exactly what they were so desparately trying to stay away from. It's obvious that their design is seriously flawed.

Ok I get that. Maybe it is this way If you have strong mind and you can distinguise bad from good then you can love. IF you can control your emotions, feelings then way of the Jedi is open for you. I get it?
And before going into kind of friendship and love you have to consider that if you love another Jedi then you have to be prepered for any conseqences and any sort of sad endings like death of your love or sickness. Then only Jedis with strong will and selfcontrol can truely love and be loved otherwise they will fall from anger and hatred.

If i remember right Juhani was "the surviver" of Katarr, but her homeworld was attacked by mandalorians and not by an evil Sith Lord ...

Juhani was a Cathar and I don't think she is the ONLY survivor, the Mandalorians did wipe out most of her people.

Visas is a Miraluka (who do not have eyes!) and is a totally new character. She is not anyone else.
May the Force be with you...

I haven't completed KotOR 2 yet, but I know of two instances where you can see Bastila in the game. Both are on Korriban.

Just a question. Do you see any bonus videos for beating the original on the hard level? Some of this stuff I just don't remember happening, of course I haven't played the original in a while.
