see the epic "No Deaths, No Reloads" thread for Two's epic tale of soloing with a bard...
The thing about a bard that makes them good for soloing is that they can sort of fight, sort of cast, and sort of thieve.
So the character classes and multis that can cast but not fight, or fight but not cast are harder, because less versatile. Easiest solo experience I had was fighter/mage/thief.
Someone wrote a thread about solo archer, and it seemed like they had a lot of trouble...I think any kind of fighter that can't cast any spells would be kind of hard...

May you walk on warrrrm sannd....
Actually bards are not bad for soloing. They can cast very good offensive spells (i.e, Skull Trap), summon skeleton wariors early on and can use a wide array of weapons. They can also use wands which is a plus. Once you start learning your high level abilities, bards are powerhowses. Spike traps can end many battles before they start, and the Enhanced Bard Song makes your skelly army a powerful force. Bards are one of my favorite classes (the other one is thieves).

As I see(in order):
1)Bards
2)F/M/T
3)mage multi/dual class
4)Straight Mage or sorcerer.
5)Thief
6)All other Multi/dual without mage
7)All other straight without Fighter or barbarian
8)Beserker and Kensai
9)Archer
10)Barbarian
11)Wizard Slayer

2)F/M/T
3)mage multi/dual class

5)Thief

8)Beserker and Kensai
9)Archer
10)Barbarian
11)Wizard Slayer

A wizard slayer dualled to a mage would not be able to use wands, rings, belts, cloaks or potions (exc. healing) I wonder if they would even be able to cast or learn from scrolls? This would probably make some solo tactics pretty hard, but as long as you could learn spell, you'd be OK.
There's a new undead hunter solo strategy posted in the strategies section - interesting. He said he reached the EXP cap of 8,000,000 in SOA!
I think the hardest part of soloing ANY class is just getting out of Irenicus' dungeon. Other than that, the last battles in TOB are hard because you have reached the cap.

OK. But what make a Wizardslayer/mage more dificult than a WizardSlayer straight. It do not make sense. And if the WizardSlayer/Mage connot cast spell then I say that the byoware pro were drunk when they think about it.
As my list(up there), I agree that the WizardSlayer is the most dificult solo char. but if he is dualed to a Mage then the solo will be not that hard.
