Can't use schematic

Post by Jednj »

I purchased a schematic for Miracle Cure . . . and then another for one of the components (invigorater I think - the one that requires Wine + Aqua Vera?) . . . anyway . . . I have the compopnents but when I click the assemble button it says I do not have the EXPERTISE to assemble those items, but it gives NO CLUE as to what I am lacking.

A)Any idea what I am lacking (Intelligence maybe?)

B)A RANT - wouldn't it be nice if the game GAVE ME A CLUE as to what expertise I am lacking!! :-(

Expertise is knowledge in a particular technical discipline. The components in the schematic should include a little icon and a number, and these refer to the discipline and how well you need to know it. You probably need more expertise in chemistry or something.

The manual should tell you what attributes govern tech disciplines. I don't recall right now, but it's in there.

If you pay careful attention to the multiple tree schematics then you'll noticed little symbols in the corners of the ingrediants that directly relate to technology trees. For example there might be an anvil with an 80 next to it.

These little values are related to the trees and means to be able to produce the following recipe that you'll need 80 points of ability in smithing to be able to produce this item.

To read your technology ability in an area you must go and look in your skill trees and on each of the tabs there will be a number of ability for each of the areas, to produce an item sucessfully you must have equal or more skill in the sufficient trees.

Most often most found schematics that you find use a combination of two skill trees (like explosives and mechanical).

Thank y'all very much. I had seen that data but didn't understand it, and had failed to find it explained in the manual . . . but maybe I just overlooked it. I'll try again . . . thanks.
