I have a slight problem with starting Tribunal i have rested loads of times but no dark brotherhood attacks :( is there some requirement i need to meet before i can get them to attack me?

Well.. have you enabled TRIBUNAL? and if some people have told me truth those assassins's only appear only after certain level.. i am not sure but that should be 6..

You are correct. They only appear after level 6. Morrowind Prophecies explains in detail when they will appear.

I have had the Dark Brotherhood attack me when I've just started with a brand new character at only level one or two... :confused:
So maybe it is actually quite random.

My new char was attacked the very first time he rested. The Dark Brotherhood kicked his Breton butt but good. An uplifting experience it was not.

I'm just going by what was in Morrowind Prophesies. Perhaps it's a bug or a side effect of mods. I've never been hit before 6 though.

on x box its always at lvl 6 or 7 (cant remember which) but without fail, no matter where you are, at that level when you rest you wake up, get your lvl up and get attacked. then you have to talk to an imperial guard about it...they will direct you from there.

i get attacked everytime at lvl 1 when i rest just outside seyda neen near the netch-transport platform, and i've been able to kill him everytime and the assassin stuff is quite good/valuable at lvl1..
