People won't follow me anymore

Post by Beren »

Now that I've massacred a few towns, like all of Oakvale, in order to procure property, people won't follow me. The men say "Sorry, I can't follow you I'm afraid," and the women say, "Sorry, but I'm up to my ears in cleaning and work." What the hell? Do i have a bad reputation? My Good meter is almost all the way up, I'm 100% attractive, and my scariness is not too high (+26). I'm confounded. If people from Bowerstone and Hook Coast won't follow me, how am I supposed to kill them and buy their houses? My goal is to own all of the property in Fable, and now I can't kill anyone in certain areas because they won't follow me and I don't have the patience to do it with my bare hands (though that would be bad ass). Please, Help me!

Well if you kill townsfolk they will never follow you again. Same thing happens if you lead them out of town and make them wait there.

Another thing is what is your renown and reputation. If you had gone around in the down and committed a lot crimes like vandalism, stealing, punching folks, etc, folks tend not to trust you and won't follow either.

If you can carry weapons and want to buy the property then go ahead and evict them out of their house by force.

For Bowerstone North make sure you are really attractive and after the arena event you should have no problem leading folks out of their house to own the town. Just make sure have the gold on hand to buy up the property there.

If you have messed up to much just start over and make it a goal not to get a bad rap and buy up everything.
