Hide in shadows??
Can you hide in shadows when you are in the area of enemies, not around corners just like in front of them. Whenever I try to do it, it says failed hide in shadows and leaving shadows. Any input would be welcome.

It's much easier to backstab if your only character is the one in the area, that way the only Line Of Sight is you thief's. The back stab and hide in shadows works is not if another enemy can see you but if your thief can't see them!
Although he can't hide in shadows if an invisible enemy in in his apparent area one of the easiest ways to hide in shadows is to run around a building and as soon as the thief is around a corner you can hide because the corner is blocking his view of the enemy. You can also hide behind an open door or even some miscellanious items around the place just making sure your thief can't see anyone (including invisible...)
It is easier to use the fog of war and wait either until the enemy is in the fog of war or even dissappeared off your screen but this is extremely slow and dangerous in a few instances like mages casting finger of death. On some missions you'll be able to gain some excellent practice with hide in shadows like the Fallen Paladins, which offers buildings to run around; Just make sure the rest of the party isn't in the area.
