why doesn't the geas ever come up later in the game? i don't get it. were the BG2 programmers lazy, rushed, or leaving it out for tob?

@Toeman, can you *really* accused the developers of a complex, long, and involved game like BG2 of being "lazy?" Sheesh.
Clearly they were rushed. Others things were left out as well, like a conclusion to the quest involving Jan's heartthrob, or the absence of any "love interest" (pardon me while I smirk at the whole idea of a computerized love interest) except Anomen for the ladies. There's also a key in a dungeon that isn't needed, and various bits and pieces of a similar level that aren't resolved. It's amazing that BG2 is so bug-free, however, and so well done overall. Its complexity sets a standard for CRPGs that's going to be hard to meet, let alone beat.
