How charisma reduces fp cost.
How charisma reduces fp cost.
Excuse me I'd like to know exactly how charisma works for lowering alignment costs. Im thinking of making a lightside consular watchman but I'd really like to use lightning, so I'd like to know how much the extra cost is lowered per modifier, or if it doesn't work like this then please someone offer some insight.

apparently one force point or two per modifier...
according to dsimpson, the accuracy bonus for your party is two points per modifier...+2 or charisma 14 will mean +4 to hit for your party. its not confirmed, and i haven't seen that much of a bonus, when i've looked at it...but that's what's been reported...so i would guess that the force point modifier is similar in type...
hardly seems worth it, eh?
even with a wisdom of 8, you won't seriously run out of force points casting lightning...i am currently running a consular weapon master, with 8 wis, and i do not expect to run out of force points...
even with only a hundred force points at level 15, that's enough for 2 force storms, then its lightsabre time...besides, both force body and force drain will allow you to conserve force points to the point where its not an issue...
force drain in particular is really evil...cast insanity, drain force, then blast them with lightning...

thanks a lot, but anyways I was meaning to have a good attribute score because I want to be a lightside consular, and if charisma reduces cross-alignment extra cost then I'ts more than welcome, and if it indeed raises +2 hit to your party members per modifier, its actually better in chance of hitting than raising strength individually for party members. Anyways I would appreciate having proven values if that's at all possible, I was wondering how much charisma you would need in order to be able to cast dark-side powers as if you were neutral when Im actually in light-side mastery or almost there.
Again thankyou for your answers.

i literally don't know...charisma is a attribute i don't consider important for my power player character...
try it and see...test using the high feedback screen...
my results under high feedback is one point bonus for attack per modifier, even though dsimpson claims 2 points, and one point reduction per modifier for force cost...i see it as high an investment as your primary attribute, and i personally prefer str for my primary attribute.

[QUOTE=jeremiah]And charisma does not increase the player character's chances to hit, only for the other party members

i like using a negative charisma score, with only 8 points in charisma, and its -1 to main hand and -2 to offhand...so bonuses should work the same way...
force points its one to one ratio of cost to modifier...totally not worth it for me, and some experiments with force body makes that a much much better choice...the savings make a lightside force storm use the same cost as force wave, and darkside heal is incredibly cost effective...
darkside heal actually allows you to use that very popular power if you're full darkside without any penalties at all...since it costs as much as force push, and the heal power heals any vitality costs...
