I have just installed ToB, but does anyone know which NPCs I should have in my party? I am thinking of doing this:
protagonist(inquisitor)
Valygar
Saerevok
Anomen
Imoen
Jan
Perfect Party
Perfect Party
Valorhan, High Justicer of Asteran
'Now you can die well.'

This subject has been punted around the boards since the game was out the first week (and I mean SoA). Just do a search on "perfect party" and you'll have more than 200 opinions to read.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
Depends on play style, but for me I have liked so far.
Front Line:
Minsc- (two handed sword/mace/axe w/ elemental dammage for trolls)
Double as front line/supporting:
Jahara- (spear/scimatar or club and shield, +some brac of str)
Veronica - (war hammer/sling/shield, +some brac of str if I'm a magic user)
Supporting:
Areil-(either mace or war hammer/sling + shield)
Natali- (bow + staff or some sword, also uses brac of archery) (Imoen replaces her) Shes good enough for opening things and dealing with traps.
I'm still testing other chars, might find a better replacement for Veronica, I don't think there is a better replacement for Areil, I haven't looked to much in replacing the others.
