@CM: Well...I did let you know we'd gotten started. :p What, do you want me to start nagging you by e-mail every time I think it's time for you to post? :p

That's good news, btw. :)
<snip>
I don't know...the lich seems to be doing well enough. :D Besides, if that was absolutely true, Xandax would've head for where the guard was gathered in the first place. ;)
<snip>
That would have indicated that he knew the guards where gathering there to do something ..... which he had no way of knowing - untill now that is. ;) :)

@CM: Can't...resist...urge...to...nitpick... :D Seriously though, it was good. :) It makes sense that there would be some sort of evacuation plan. However...20 miles might be a little much. Let's see...that's a five hour walk each way. The battle started around 21:00 or 22:00, and it will almost certainly be over by sunrise. That leaves about nine to ten hours. By the time the two get back (10 hours walking + 2 hours setting up camp + 1 or more hours of random fighting = 13+ hours) the battle will be over, for good or for worst. Also, those fleeing the town will find that the undead don't pursue them. It would soon become apparent that fleeing 20 miles won't be necessary. ;)

Sorry guys, but I've been promising Aegis I'd pitch in with his storyline for a while now. I'll see if I can get up another post dealing with Pedsgin tomorrow, but no promises there. :)

@Aegis: There, I got myself involved the only way I know how: by throwing in a character. :p I have plans for Selene...but you can do whatever you want with the High Wizard. I'll send you a PM regarding specific "spoiler" details. ;) I trust I haven't blundered and gotten something completely wrong? :) I figured that Virrilis didn't realize that Sethin actually *stole* the artifact, or he would've made Sethin leave it in Calimshan. As I figure it, the Pasha's assassins were pursuing Sethin (and Virrilis) half because he was a traitor, and half because he had the artifact and the Pasha wanted it back.

So, I think that went rather well. :D

As for Virrilis, well, this is the first time I think Magus has actually stumped me. It's gonna be tricky to figure out how to get out of this one. :p

So, if I can't figure anything out soon, I'll move on to hopefully deal with Rail or Ferchen, as both are unaccounted for at the moment.

So, I hope you enjoyed the bloody arena match, with some killing and such.

@Aegis: I stumped you? I wasn't especially trying to, but that's always a boon I suppose. :p Actually, I was just trying to compensate for the hand I'd already been dealt. But if Virillis can't figure anything out, then it would probably be best if he bided his time for a while. No use doing something that would likely get him killed. ;) Do remember that you know more than Virrilis does--I told you so can hopefully predict the regrettable outcomes of your various mad schemes. :D BTW, I thought up another way that Virrilis could free himself. Good luck getting it to work though. :p

Just wanted to let you guys know that I haven't posted in the last couple of days due to some wrist problems. I'm trying to rest my hands for a bit (which entails avoiding many of the things I usually do :rolleyes: ), but I hope to post in another couple of days or so. I might be without Internet for the next week and a half (vacation accomodations being not necessarily predictable), so if you don't hear from me, that's probably why. I will have a post up as soon as I'm able, though. :)

Yeah...you know how I said I might not have Internet access? Well, make that definitely not. You see, I didn't bring a monitor. :rolleyes: Oh well, see you guys in about a week and a half. :)

Well, I'm back and as bored as ever. :p My wrists have gotten a little better...I'm going to see a doctor in a couple of days. Depending on what he says, I'll determine what I need to do from here on. :)

Saw the doc...everything's fine. He cited simple overexertion as the culprit...rather than carpal tunnel, thankfully. It's funny, the test they do for that. They lay your your wrists flat and bang 'em with hammers. :D The resulting mild soreness apparently indicated I was healthy. :p

Anyway, that means I should be able to get a post up soon. :)

@Aegis: Is this an ongoing saga? Or is this my cue to give Virrilis a rude awakening? :p

Probably me, I'd imagine. :o Sorry about that, but DM'ing is a lot of work. Sometimes it's just hard to muster the motivation to keep going. Well, that and I've been playing Star Ocean 3 non-stop since I got it preordered. ;) I'll try to post sometime in the next few days. I reckon I'll feel more like posting by then. :)

You were almost as lost here as in the story. ;)
Perhaps we should for a party and start our own search for your whereabouts. :D :p

Eh, well I'm always around, even if I'm not posting. Though I have been known to ignore with the best of them when the need arises. :p
