What Happened?

Post by Gildarius »

I was playing morrowind for Xbox when i noticed my armor skills were all negatives. I did every healing spell, went to every temple, and got every blessing? Does anyone have any idea what could have happened. PS I changed characters and beat the game anyway but i hate leaving a character uncomplete. Please help

You have used weapon called fury. Avoid that weapon let it be where it is. It is not worth the risk.. if you accidentally wield it and lats save is 10 hours ago.

To explain in a slightly clearer phrasing... :D

The greatsword Fury (which I think is in Kogoruhn) has some kinda glitch (or perhaps just some ridiculous penalty) which causes all of your armour skills to drop to 0 when you first wield it. I think there's a mod which fixes this, but since the sword kinda sucks in the first place :D , I would just check my other saves and look for armour ratings in the positives, and if you're lucky enough to find one, avoid Fury at all costs.

I think you're pretty much screwed. Since you are on Xbox, the only way to get your skils back up is either to train them mannually or use a trainer. the same thing happened to me, and I just used a trainer. To do it cheaply, you could *SPOILER* use a drain skill spell for about 3 seconds and get the skill trained while it is depleted. When the effect wears off, your skill will be normal, and it only costs one gold piece per level.

Interesting... I've found the sword myself, but i've never wielded it. This does range an interesting question. Is it then possible to rise to level 50 or so, only to equip Fury, reset your skills & start over? That could potentially bring you to level 150 then I guess...
