Make Shops Bring In More Money??
How do I make my shops bring in more money? Right now I'm only getting 204 a every couple of days from my crappy shop in Oakvale.

shops...
i found the only buildings other than houses worth buying are Pubs... the one in Oakvale brings in about 2100 gold every three days...
mind you, i practically own Oakvale anyway =D same with Knothole Glade, the only buildings i don't own are Shops... not worth the money really unless you fancy hanging around for months to make some money back =|
no... lol

Shops never make a lot of money, regardless of how long you own them. As well, there is no way to modify their inventory. The only use that I've found in buying a shop is that they are good investments in case you ever need a lot of money quickly. This made itself most evident when I was trying to buy a house in Bowerstone North and was short by about 20k. After leading people out and them reappearing, there is no way to get them to follow you again (really really annoying). So I transported to oakvale, sold the pub for 36k, and bought the house.
Owning property is by far the best way of gaining money in Fable. Every three days between Oakvale (about 15,000), Bowerstone North (about 18,000), and Knothole Glade (over 17,000) I have 40,000 gold waiting for me anytime I want it. Especially in this game, where it is so easy to run out of money, it is very important to have a constant source of money, and this is the only one. Even just owning half of Oakvale, getting ten thousand gold, this can quickly be accumulated to whatever amount desired.

hmm...
about 35k i think =\ i just bought every property apart from the Shops in each town...
if you're not bothered about how many "Fable Days" you complete the game in, just buy what you can, then sleep for three days, collect your rent and repeat if needed... if you own at least 10 properties in each town, money comes pretty quickly...
=)

properties...
sadly there's no list of available buildings...
but you can buy practically every property in each town... there's only a couple of buildings you can't... the Logging Cabin just outside of Knothole Glade for instance...
i just killed every villager in each town then bought what buildings i could afford...
other than that i'm not too sure =|
