Only to make the world a better place, ofcourse ;)
Ha-ha, who are you trying to fool, man? You're not that good :D :D :D

@Luis: an Unfailing Bag of Gold... well, that'd lead to unforseeable consequences... Though having enough money so that I won't have to work all day would be fun.

Come on, how come nobody has thought about it yet? A Teleport Scroll!!!! (Or a portkey :p ) Now THAT'S what I really need! Not just a single one, but one for each day :) (on second thought, two for each day, so that I could return home :D Maybe learing the spell would be the best.)

That would be awesome to use it. I could visit my sister anytime I want (they live in the countryside, far from us, so it takes time to get there and back), it'd take an instant to get to my bf's...

And I'd surely go on a world tour and visit some of you :)

Well here's one for the guys, 'The cloak of Letchiness' to make blokes invisible and silent so they can sneak into womens changing rooms and giggle insanely at all the bottoms on display.

I was just trying to say that what I wanted to know is: what was the most interesting artifact you've heard of (already in a book or movie or legend) - not what's the best thing you can imagine... I'd rather hear about well-known items.

Oh I knew that Brynn I was just shamlessly attention seeking.

The sword of Arthur Eld or the Revolvers with the sandlewood grips from the Dark Tower books, now those I'd love!

A long time ago... in a galaxy far far away :p .....
don't sound like future to me... :D

Ok, something not so known, that must be Crenshinibon, or the Crystal shard from R. A. Salvatore's Icewind Dale Trilogy.

It gives the owner incredible powers, the only drawback is that it got a will of its own... So it tries to take controll over you....
The Phylactory of Fas's Libido...

Legend has it, this artificat was lost decades ago, and has left Fas a empty shell of a tea drinking wanker. Rumours say, though, that a certain bibo-gigno* has been able to excite the libido-less man. :D

LMAO! :D That's the funniest thing I've read at SYM for a long time! :D

In order not to disrupt Brynn's thread I will give a serious answer: The artifact of my desire would be a ring with charges of timestop. Like in D2, the item is rechargable, so the supply is unlimited. Then I could perhaps get my job done, and get some sleep sometimes as well.
