Travelling With Ease?

Very good. Yes, I think it might have been Vance. Possibly some of his early work, back in the 1950s.

I use minor cheats (I have a very powerful character who uses Sunder and Hopesfire) like setting my speed to 250 (any higher and it just gets disorientating) or "center on cell" to do short, simple 'take this note to A and then come back' quests. You could just use Boots of Blinding speed, but I donated them to the museum.
