Why people are busy?

I recently ran the game with several chars created by myself, in Multi->LAN game. but I've got much bored by the fact that some of the NPCs kept busy so that i could not speek with'em

, which never happens in Single mode, e.g. the child at the Government area doesn't speek with me so that I could gain no access to Umar Hills etc.
Anyone ever experienced such troubles? Or is there any way gaining access to Umar Hills without contacting that damn BUSY child? I just want the goddamn Crom Faeyr Scroll anyway

Download the latest official BG SoA and ToB patch. That should take care of the 'appears to be busy' problem.

I 've tried using some charm magic on that npc and still failed lol, thanks again. One more noob prob
where can i see my version?

You can find the SoA patch here and the ToB patch here. Installing is quite easy, your game will be automatically updated.

Don't you get the 'Kill Valygar'-quest, and thus the location of the Umar Hills, when you talk to Tolgerias in the Government District?

Yeah, i tried but Tolgerias also appears busy.....
