Knights Of Old 3! Spoilers Galore
Knights Of Old 3! Spoilers Galore
Well I did kotor 2 as a goodie, now its time to get medevil on the game this time around. BUT!!! I feel totaly ripped off with this ending. It seems the ending is the same as a good or bad guy just diffrent ways to get there I guess, or atleast thats my immpression since I have only read about this one ending. So the end comes you kill the old bat and take off for this new galaxy to find deeper trouble (keeping in mind that the republic at this point are still weak scatterd and require a strong figure head to reorganize a new councill and order) So instead of filling his role, this guy (or girl pending on your choice) choses to seek out Reven, some dude he never really knew and doesnt know where he is. This game left things way to open for KOTOR 3, in that they dont give you a satisfied ending, and only give you what will happen to your crew in the future with slight connections to the trilogy. So how does this game rate? where does it lie in the scheme of things, I feel its a excellent game that was rushed too fast to bring out to the public, but profits were to be made I guess, but I would have preffered to wait a few more months in oder to receive a less flawed package and experience. IN conclusion, I wished they truly made this game to last within this time frame because to let it end as an opening for 3 is disappointing. What do you think?

Yeah, I think this will end up being a trilogy. The ending totally didn't satisfy anything. Just opened more questions if you ask me. Then game is still worth it. I found it much more difficult than the 1st if you are playing light side. Though it never comes right out and says it, if you play as a woman, it implys a definate love triangle that's pretty much still left unresolved. At least if you have equal influence over Atton AND Disciple....you'll definately find some meditation envy there.

after seeing the ending for kotor 1, I thought there was no way someone could top this!! When I beat kotor 2 I was stuned watching the credits thinking I messed up somewhere.I beat it nine diffrent times (light and dark) and the ending is still as stupid as the first time. I hated the ending and it was just like halo2's ending. I think xbox live should put out a better detailed ending just so people like us don't have to make several forums discusing how bad it was!!!!!!!
I also agree that they need a little work in the ending department. OK maybe a lot of work. Especially when you're following an ending like kotor. It's just like when you get woken up in the morning right before you get to the good part of the dream. Touch me in the mornin' and just walk away.
They did do a good job with gameplay though. As long as you don't count the 246 bugs.

Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and
flutter,
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore;
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed
he;................................
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.
see i freaked out, i thought that KOTOR 2 was coming out in Feb, so when i saw that is came out what i supposedly though was early i was exstatic. am i wrong on this or did they release early or Christmas??
They relesed the xbox version at christmas and there releasing the PC version feb 11th I think. They also didnt make the ending as flashey or as excititng because thats not what they were going for. They wanted it to all lead up to Kotor 3. Think of it like the lord of the rings series.

Add l Skinflute l (Lower case L's) if you think you can beat me 1v1 snipers in Halo 2.

Obi Wan Evan has a point. However I might understand why there really was no ending. In Kotor 1 Revan was at the star forge, where there were also thousands of Republic soldiers out there in the space battle. When the star forge was destroyed the Republic troops were right there and you were escorted to where ever it was when you recieved that medal. I don't know the Dark Side ending but I bet it was similar.
In Kotor 2 when you beat the game you were at Malachor. Malachor is in the middle of no where! There were no Republic troops or Jedi or anything there who saw you do whatever it was you did.
I understand the ending but they should have an alternate ending if you are on the dark side. The ending should be like you killed the three sith lords and now you have become the ultimate sith and all of those sith assassins and dark jedi at the academy on Malachor should bow do to you or something. That is what the dark side ending should be like.
I have a couple questions though about Malachor so could you indulge me? The first one is that fight with Mira and Hanharr. I was playing as light saide and I killed Hanharr with Mira. On another file I was light side and Hanharr killed me. What was that fight for? The person who won should join up with you or kill you or something.
And my other question is at the end after you kill Kreia the Ebon Hawk came out of no where. Who was piloting it?

I liked this game's ending much more than the first's. In the first, I wondered about the crew, the rest of the republic, and the worlds to which I went, and the second game provided much more of that kind of info there at the end. This provided me with more closure, actually, and allowed me to imagine which path my character would choose next, not tell me they have to be the new sith lord. In fact, I don’t want my dark-sider doing any sith lording, but instead I’d rather imagine her exploring, fighting, and learning in the unknown regions. There is nothing left for her, in known space, except teaching some punk sith to gain enough power to defeat her later on. Plus, Revan might come back and smack her down if she’s not properly prepared.
To succeed fully on the game you must know and understand every aspect

you were a general in the war. so you'd have to know how to pilot a ship.
kreia probably stuck atton with the piloting for convinience.
Remember you leave Malachor V alone, for fear of were you will tread the dark side will be so strong that it could taint ur companions, didn't you understand carth when he told you why Revan didn't take them with him.
this next point is for everyone who talks down about Revan.
Keep in mind that this entire trilogy, all of the KotOR games are based off the actions of "Revan".

There is no need to bump an old thread in the SW:KoTOR2 forum discussing KotoR3 when we have a KoTOR 3 forum for these matters.
