KotOR II runs slow on my system

Post by oloh »

Hi.

I am sitting on an Athlon 1,3 with 512 mb ram and a Gforce2 65 mb gfx card. The cover says this should be okay but it really runs super slow when there is even the tiniest bit of action. Is there anything I can do? Would it be fixed if I bought a new gfx card (emergency solution)?

Hope someone can help, and thanks in advance.

Yeah, I hate to say it but that system is a bit out of date for new games. Yes, you do meet the required specs, but just so you know, meeting the required specs barely makes certain games playable.

I have a P4 2.4, 1 gig ram, 256 geforce 5700 card and I have issues sometimes with this game. It is a bit glitchy.

If you have a 8x AGP slot on your machine I suggest getting a new card (if you have PCI you can get a 256 meg Geforce 5100 that is decent) for around $60-100 bucks from http://www.pricewatch.com. Do some research and find something that you can afford.

Your current card is what I had in 1998 with my P3 500... it is outdated. Now, I'm not "dissin'" your machine, just saying my opinion. :) I hope this helps...
May the Force be with you...
