After the mandatory capture by Twinblades and winning the race, I cannot seem to escape. I had thought the key to escape was in the Warden's office - stealing a key from him or getting into the diaries. But I can't get the thief skill to work properly. I have, by the way, "mastered" the guile skill. Any suggestions?

sneak by him and whenever the second bar on the right gets to more then half way chill for a little till it gets back to green and then get the code. do the same way to get back to the diaries and i think its in the middle book

First of all, you are captured by Jack of Blades, not Twinblade. Anyways, I wish to elaborate on the other guy's post a bit.

-Win the race
-Be taken to the Warden's office.
-Use the sneak 'left thumbstick button' to get to his bulletin board and read his code.
-Sneak back to his diary, (it's usually the middle one) and use the interact button 'A'.

If done correctly, you should be taken back to your cell in the Prison Block and then , wait for the Guards to leave, and open your cell. You may as well bust a few of the other inmates out as well.

You have to do that twice, the torture chamber scene must play and you must age 1 year before you can get the key.

diary key...

yeah i've never got it first time...

tried first, second and last Diary each time i started a new character, makes no difference...
