I em thinking about buying KOTOR II for the PC and was wondering if I never player KOTOR does the story line continue or is this just a new game. Is KOTOR II a sequal to KOTOR I?
How difficuly is it to play this game using the keyboard and mouse? Should I wait and save money to get an Xbox?
Thanks

I don't know about if the game plays better on PC, but if you have a decent one, get the PC version. You'll have less to suffer from graphical issues and such. The storyline does continue a little, but you should be able to figure it out without having played KotOR 1.
I'll have to say, though, that you'll miss out on some story element such as characters returning from the first part who you won't recognize now, and probably have no clue on what to answer on the questions that determine how the first game has ended.
So... I'd recommend buying the first game instead. If you like it, buy this one. The first one should still be lingering around stores for half the money or so and was a really great game.

I'd also suggest to start with KotOR1.
a) cheaper!
b) story line is a little more straight forward, IMO. Good vs. Evil (KotOR2 is all about the 'grey' areas)
c) You'll get to know some of the background, instead of jumping right into KotOR2
I'd also suggest PC version, if only because that is the only one I have.
