i'm a newbie to bloodlines

I have been doing fine so far. I am doing the thinned blood mission. To let everyone know, i forgot about this mission and now i am going back to it. I have talked to the guy on the beach. I have also bitten the girl in the hospital and now she is my ghoul. I have also talked to the lady in the dinner, but I don't see her keys in my inventory. Being a malkavian, I remember telling her about the rat inspection and she payed me off. I do not remember much else. I looked up some information about the red car that is somehow related to lily. I have found and located the car, but I do not have the keys. Are these keys also used somewhere else? I do realize that when some keys are used, they come off of the key ring. Any advice for me? Am I missing something? I had to consult the walkthrough on this one, but I still do not know where I have gone wrong.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated............

Go back and talk to the cashier at the diner, the malkavain madness sometimes make it hard to give the right responses but she is the key holder. If you still don't get them try looking behind her although I'm not sure the purse appears if you are not a nosferatu.

Hey, thanks for replying. i've tried looking behind the bar just like the walkthrough reccommends. She must have handed the things to me because I cannot see anything there. Now, whenever I approach her, she says the typical reponse of "What'yll be honnie?" and my only response is one that pretty much says "I'm outta here." I do not have those keys on my keyring. I went over to the red car and i've tried everything. Shooting it, bashing it with weapons, and still no luck. I hope that when I initially talked to her that I received the keys. I know I got 50 dollars for mentioning how I am the health inspector, but that's about it. Any other suggestions............

The loot is in the trunk of the red car in the garage on the way to the beach so if you've tried to open the trunk and failed then you may be past the trigger point for the quest. Its a minor quest that worth only a few points experience.

Thank you. So there is a time limit for the quests then? I know that looking in the walkthrough that the Lucky Star Motel key is used later on in Hollywood or something (the town where the strip joint is). So, I will be able to use that key when the time comes? Atleast I hope. I got so worked up when I got that key too. I checked everything, lol....

Oh, another random question. I remember having to do a quest. It had to do with killing Lily, I believe. She, if her name is really Lily, the is big mouthed lady that "Nine" wants me to get rid of. If the name is correct, does that have any connection with the Austrialian sufer dude's love, LILY? I did do that mission and then remembered I forgot a mission, so I went back to do the thin blood mission? Any connections?

The "lady", if you can call her that, is Patty at Club Confession. Skelter would like you "convince" her not to tell anyone about the masquerade.

Quests doesn't have a "time" on them per say, but what you're telling leaves me to conclude that some quests triggers might be...obsolete once you go too far in the game. Have you done the B-Writer quest in Hollywood yet? I'd imagine it would be the one obsoleting the Thinned Blood quest.

One thing you can try is putting the noclip code on and walking into the trunk of the car until you can see the stuff. I'm not sure it will work but its an idea and it SHOULD work.

no clip eh?

I'm not one to play with cheats on until I alteast beat the game. But, perhaps maybe I should try this one. So, in the console I type noclip? Kind of like in Doom, the same idea? Traveling through walls and stuff like that? It could be worth a try. Thank you kind fellow, I shall try that.

Yep thats how. I'm the same way with cheats but if for some reason the game is bugged and I can get around it with a cheat (when I obviously know HOW to do the quest) then I do it. Let me know how it works.

I've solved the quesy but couldn't pick up the item in the trunk because I already had a similar item, but everytime I walk past the trunk now (even if it's closed) it says I can't pick the item up even though I'm not trying to.

Have you gone to the guy with the Krime Komputer or whatever it's called? The bounty hunter guy. Did the lady in the dinner give you a bail bond? If so, go to the Krime Komputer place and look the guy the bond is for up and talk to the guy there. That may unlock some stuff.

Isn't there a bug that can stop you from getting Lily's keys? Did you patch your game?
