Is it possible to kill the Garou werewolf near the end of the game without have to crush it between the telescope doors of the observatory? Someone said shoot the eyes but we all now that never really works.
BTW is it ever stated how a vampire or werewolf dies. Well not how to kill them that's easy to answer but in Bloodlines the vampires and some other creatures burst into dust and ash like on Buffy and the werewolf just hangs there without changing back. But in Redemption werewolves were supposed to turn back into humans or wolves and vampires just fall down like fall trees (or old corpses). How is it actually supposed to go in novels or in the core RPG books?
FURRY Trouble *SPOILER'S*
I don't know what can kill the Werewolf except the observatory crush.
And I've tried just about anything. From a Tremere with 5 thaum to a maxxed out gangrel to dumping every weapon I had into the nasty critter. Seems I didn't bring silver bullets I guess (or silvernitrate solution in the case of the flamethrowere)

Werewolves: Werewolves, or Garou, or born into one of three forms. Hommid, which is a human who latter in life has their garou heritage spring to life, transforming them into a werewolf.. Lupus, which is a wolf born with garou blood who shifts latter in life, or Metis, which is what happens when two werewolves breed, producing a cub that is born in the war form you see in Bloodlines called Chrinos (meaing: Hairy funnily enough)
When a werewolf dies.. REALLY dies, dead dead! They revert back to the form they were born in.. Hommid turn back into humans, Lupus back into wolves, and Meits into Chrinos... Seeing as the Werewolf in the game stays in it's war form, there is a few possabillites:
1) You just winded him good! He'll be better latter.. Or he'll die of the crushing slowly and revert back to his natural form when your long gone.
2) He was a metis, and so will stay in that form untill some other werewolf whisks him away to cover their behinds.
Vampires: When a vampire dies, it quickly reverts to it's true age. A neonate will flop down still ripe and fresh, where as an elder will quickly turn to bones and powder.. People around the middle will become mummified and horrid, while the most acients ones are dust the instant they meet final death.. Of course, this is altered by the FORM of death. Obviously burning a vampire will ALWAYS reduce it to ashes, as will leaving it for the sun, as they burst into flames, burning away even the most stubborn vampire stains.
Chances are, the guys who were working on bloodlines prolly just wanted a cool dramatic effect, and the "catch up in age" is more an "acepted rule"... As I don't know that it's actauly written in hard facts in any of the books. It just makes sense is all.. After all, how could people have vampire fangs and bones to use in rituals and such if they all instantly turned to ash? And why can't vampire just keep collections of their own arms laying around by cutting them off and re-growing a new one if they don't?
So I hope that helps!
