Plague of Angels -- Help Needed

Possible Spoiling for those who have not done these quests yet ..........

Allrighty then ... got my boyfriend playing the game, and he opted to play a Tremere. He got the quest Plague of Angels from Strauss, but never finished it, due to pissing Damsel royally off (not knowing any better) before he'd seen Strauss. He can approach her, but gets no other dialogue options now.

At this point, he's near the end of the game, but really wants to see the nifty second haven in the chantry ... which I don't believe he'll get (even though he did the Gargoyle quest) due to having the Plague quest still unfinished.

Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

Start over from a point before taking out the gargoyle.
It sucks, but apperantly, from my recent tremere playings, you have to do plague first, then gargoyle to get the new haven.

PLUS- Always remember, be carfull of the toes you step on today, as they may be connected to the butt you're kissing tomorrow.

Which makes it difficult to play as an Anarch if you want to stay in character. One of my few real problems with the game is that you have to be "good" to pretty much everyone if you want to be able to complete the quests. ...and that randomly killing NPCs doesn't get you mass amounts of money or nifty objects. Or anything at all.

staying in character

there is nothing to say that a sneaky anarch - one who has agreed with Damsel that he/she will keep their loyalties secret - can't suck up to the likes of Strauss. Strauss behaves decently towards the charcter, but unless he can give you the haven, then it is more in character to grass him up to Isaac and get the XP for that.

you need to decide if (a) you want the chantry haven (if tremere) BTW it is the coolest haven (b) you want to leave open the Cammy ending.

as I posted before - the Camarilla do not deserve to run LA, so side with the Anarchs - Damsel may even let you play "wargames" with her! (In your dreams...)

He's opted to just restart from right before meeting Damsel. Kind of bites (pun intended) but as he's done all the quests after anyway, it's a speedy run-through already knowing where things are.

How can you say the tremere haven is the coolest. You cant even drink Heathers blood in there. You do get that tremere item. But Im so used to topping off my tank on Heather when I go to my haven and then I cant. One time I was so confused I tried to drain Stauss.

See thats just the thing though its a elysium I couldnt actually attack him if I wanted to. Therefore no attack no retribution from Max, although Im sure he could have burned me to cinders if he wanted to.

I hadn't noticed a prob on Heather - anyhow, I always stop off at Confession for a quick one on the way home, so rarely sample Heather.

She's there as company, not because you're too lazy to neck other women!

Mind you, I always have high seduction and can even neck the Chinese girl in the Red Dragon and she is VERY fussy! [you want the internet...]

Chantry is difiicult for one reason though - I wanted to load up my zippo with some spare fuel and it wouldn't let me, so it is not faultless as a haven, even though it has a lot of aesthetic appeal.
