Items that increase pickpocketing %?

Post by Devilock »

A simple question:

Are the Gloves of Pickpocketing and Jan's personal gloves the only items (not counting potions ofcourse) in SoA that increase the wearer's pickpocketing ability? If not, I would like to know what the others are! :D

If you haven't Item Upgrade Mod (IUM) then there aren't. In IUM you can make Gloves of Master Thief that also increases pick pocket skill, but you require Gloves of Pick Pocketing to make it and it still increases pick pocket skill only by 30%.

The Ring of Lock Picks and anything that increases DEX helps.

Thanks, but I'm only looking for the pickpocket-%. ;)

And my DEX is 18 already, so increasing that won't help a lot I'm afraid (5% increase from 18 DEX to 19 DEX or so?)

If you are desperate for a certain item, or want to gain heaps of gold through the storekeep trick, just drink some potions. They won't last too long, but long enough to nab the desired item.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

Dex beyond 18 doesn't do much and anything beyond 110% doesn't help anyway I think.

Besides, there's still the "Knock" spell and there's a "force lock" option (attack it).
