Help with Dxun Tomb (Spoilers)

Okay im playing on the PC and i've got the handmaiden, mandalore and atton. I can't seem to be able to activate the dark energy circles to get the bonus abilities and the points. Is that because its not my main character? Im a bit confused by the walkthrough but to me im doubting my alternate leader can get my main character light or dark points. Is this a glitch or not available for the pc maybe? Any advice would be appreciated.

I did this with two different parties, first with Disciple, Mandalore, and Atton- used Disciple. And the second time it was Disciple, HK47 and Visas, also used Disciple. Both were light sided, should work dark too. I think you have to use a Jedi in order to to use the spots.
