Here I go again

Post by Phantom Lord »

.. but not completely on my own.

Installed BG2/ToB plus all weidu.org mods today and so far it's Korgan, Edwin and me (NE half-orc F/C) about to take on Mae'Var after a rest, all members are level 9 (PC is 9/9).

Fourth and last member in SoA will be Valen. Cleaned the CC, did some docks quests so far, lots of things left to do.

I'm really curious about Valen. Perfect addition to my small evil party concept I hope. This is going to be a tough game - no sunray items ...

... indeed it proved to be one my thoughest fights ever. Basically two lvl 9 characters, Korgan and PC, against improved Mae'Var and company (Edwin used to get killed asap so I parked him near the entrance until the last stage of the fight). Roughly 20 reloads, before I went for plain brute force, hasted and imp invisible, which worked out if applied in the right order (the cleric first, the others two-on-one in the backroom door, finally Mae'Var).

Unimproved Twisted Rune is a joke compared to this ...

Ahh, party completed - I got Valen to join.

And, oh boy, that lady is a killer!

In "attack all enemies" mode, nightly shadow thief attacks are simply a source of major fun now - just lay back and watch her wipe them all out in no time. She also has great dialogue with Bohi's other servants.

Ahhh ... so what quest do I start with now? Hmmm, I guess I'm gonna get that book for Korgan, this combines well with Edwin's quest I think.
