Enable cheats?

I wanted to turn them on, just to add a few darkside points to try the prestige classes. The only problem is, the "EnableCheats=1" doesn't seem to do anything. Did I do it wrong?

found this at a great website called supercheats and it was posted by mastercheats

Ok, first find the file "swkotor2.ini". Then, right under the "Gameplay Options",
Type in EnableCheats=1 and save.

Now when you play, press ~ button and type in the following:

invulnerability-you can't die

heal - Heals you

addlevel - Add Experience Lvl

turbo - Walk faster

giveitem - Get any item you want

Almost all the cheats in this game are exactly
the same in the first Knights of the Old Republic.

Cheats

I tried using the EnableCheats=1 also and it didn't work. I know you have to go into the file and add the line, but nothing happens when i press ~. Are we supposed to add something to the target line in the exe.? I know that has to be done sometimes in order for the tilde key to work.

I saw a thread about this elsewhere, so I tried it.

It works.

***BUT***

You can't see anything - in KotOR, you get echo to the screen, in KotOR 2 you get no feedback - so I had the Character screen open and tried altering things, and they just show up.

Can anyone explain to me how exactly the giveitem command works? I tried with the command givecredits 100000 and it worked just fine, but thats not exactly what I want.

No matter what combinations I try with the giveitem command, all I get is a nameless item in my inventory that has the icon of a sonic grenade without any description in it. I tried typing giveitem jedi robe etc, again it gave me a nameless item lol.

Anyone know how this actually works?

Its the same way as the first KOTOR just that you cant see what u type in at the top left corner. So if you mest up your typing just backspace a lot or press enter and then try to put the cheat in again.That is the coolest lightsaber color. Cyan

...download... this should be pretty straightforward....
eventually a window containing all saved games for KotOR 2 (also 1 if applicable) appears, called 'KotOR Savegame Editor'
-from a previous window you can create a shortcut, kse_333, by cutting and pasting.( the shortcut looks like a mask- mandalorian maybe :? )
you should be able to edit any game (saved) from there as long as you remember to "commit changes" when you're done. have fun!

Nope. Those cheats are only for the PC version, not the Xbox one. As for the Xbox version, there are no cheats.
