Xan Left???

Post by Pbbruce »

Hey guys I did a search and could not find anything. I was just walking along and all of a sudden Xan says something like " I'm tired of this" and leaves. Is it something I did? How can I keep it from happening?
Thanks

Xan is a neutral character, and neutral NPC's don't like it when you be a complete crook (I believe Reputation 3 and below) or when you act like a total hero (reputation 18 or above). So when your reputation is too high or too low, they walk away when you throw them out of your party.
Though it's strange that Xan just leaves, while you didn't throw him out. How high or low is your reputation, Pbbruce?

I never liked Xan anyways.

I kept Jaheira Khalid Imoen Dynaheir and Minsc.

Xan was a whacko.

I,m not sure what my rep is, I'll check it out tonight. Yeah Xan is a whacko, the only reason that I want to him keep is that I really need him, let me explain. This is my stepson's game( I've already played it through once) and he's 10 and doesn't like to read so consequently in order to make the game move along he's started a multiplayer game so he can get good items early and not have to pick up many NPCs.

Party- Fighter PC
Another Fighter PC
Coran
Branwen
Dynaheir
Xan

Weaknesses-everyone is very low level because he did the minimum number of quests. In other words both Xan and Dynaheir are very limited in their spells because of experience and because he missed most of the higher level spells. Coran has only 20% in find traps, so I hit every trap.

Strengths- I have 4 of each: boots of speed, rings of fire resistance, spidersbane.

Anyway some background, I'm in Balders gate now and I just want to keep everyone intact until my son can get to the final battle. Thanks for your help.
