Completely random. I only ever got the Apprentice Robe, and I think I found that on one of my first planets (including Telos), used it all through the game because its pretty good and looks absolutely awesome.

The Matukai were a species that could see through the force. Visas is the only surving Matukai. The Jedi gathered on Matukai to find the threat (Darth Nhilies)(or whatever) but then he schooled them all and trashed there planet with the force.

Almost all items are random...

Okay, the various Force Traditions appear in WotC's Star Wars RPG "Hero's Guide" in chapter 8 "The Force".

The Baran Do Sages, the Matukai, and the Zeison Sha are detailed in this book. I'm not sure where the Jal Shay come from, but I'm sure they are probably established as well in some book...

The Matukai are very monk-like in their philosophies and the like, VERY interesting. :) They appear in detail on page 143 of the "Hero's Guide".

Hope this helps!

Yeah, Evan... you're way off on that one. Visas is a Miraluka and she isn't the only surviving member of her species, but she is the last survivor of her homeworld and is most likely the last Miraluka in the sector that the KotOR game takes place.

The Matukai are a non-Jedi Force tradition.

The Mutakai robes, while very effective, always looked like bath robes to me.

I think you can buy The adept robes from that old women on Dantooine. She is the one who asks you to find salveger bodies in the encalve. After you complet the quest you can either keep the bodies or you could give them to her. Then you should be able to buy the robes along with other "jedi junk" as she calls it.

I am not sure if returning the bodies unlocks anything special but you can buy the "junk" from her anytime.

Not when I went through :) . Far too many random items like you say. But I got the +5 strength gloves you are talking about as well. I want to find this matukai adept robe - and does anyone know incidentally if Jolee's Robe did actually exist and can be found in game? I got 3 Bindo's Bands but no robe!

The locked footlocker in the old training room at the enclave. After you meet with the council before you leave check out that room and make sur eyou have a high security or no luck getting it open and you can't go back to it..

Jolee's robes are in that locker? (I couldn't open it and thought I'd be able to come back). Is it static or a possible random item?

In my game that locker held some not so special items (do not remember them exactly, but the Jolee Bindo-Robe wasn't one of them - so it seems to be random).

I hate this randomness. In this point KOTOR I was better, too.

I think I've only ever found the lowest Mukatai robe, I've found the Jal Shay Neopyhte and Advisor robes which are pretty cool, but I agree the randomness is very annoying

I don't know.... there are some items you should get whatever, that you could really do with getting every time. But at the same time its nice not to follow exactly the same path through the game every time. Maybe if you knew they could always be found in the game, but perhaps not quite in the same place - semi-random, if you like.
