Pretty much what I was afraid of

Post by White Out »

This was exactley what I was afraid of. A lame sequel

Improvements were made to the charecter interaction
the fighting mechanics
force powers

but that was the worst story ever. Such a disgrace. I played all that game for a what... 5 second clip that doesn't explain ANYTHING?! Are you KIDDING ME?!

What a joke, what a flop.

I am DISGUSTED.

From what I've seen until now, I think the game is great. Even better than the first one. I think the ending must be REALLY disappointing to make this a bad game for me...

A LOT of the story elements are buried in the discussions you have with your companions. First of all, it is important that you get to the end of the game with light side for once, since you can get Kreia to talk about various things before she dies. She tells important things about what Revan intended to do and where he went.

It's really important to keep high influence with HK-47, GO-TO, Kreia, Disciple and Handmaiden (yeah, you should play it twice). They have little bits of information that are quite interesting and provide some insight to the story.

But all in all, yuo are right, the story is kinda crippled and not so great. There are all these great characters (Visas's master, Sion and Kreia) and they all have extremely lame stories. The onyl positive thing is you learn something about Revan's fate.
Walk among them... these beasts that are less than you are. See their strength, see how easily you fall to their muscle and skill. Why do you stand for this, why do you submit to the flesh when death is bred in your bones?

Truly, while crafting the first game, they sure know what they did when they created that Revan character. actually, characters in KOTOR was generally better....
