Wondering if its possible to rewind your saved games **Spoiler**

Post by Rapper »

Hi guys.... i am preparing my party for ToB and i just check out the different bonuses that i could get when i choose my good or evil paths in hell. The change in alignment i think is meant to make your character evil becasue if you know about all the bonuses given to you prior, you would certainly choose the +2 strength addition (really +3 i believe) and additional +2 ac and constituation bonuses. I also have my berserker grand master in long swords so i want the black razor though the +2 saving throws might be nice but i think i can pickpocket the sword from the genie so i will end up gettin that.

Well anyway this is my real question. This particualar pc that i want to use was my very first try in the game so i have only the save with all the tears prior to fighting the last battle. So i was thinking that it might be possible to delete the tears from my inventory and reset whatever global value corresponds for the tests and do them all over again and get the bonus i really want now that i can look back and pick and choose the specific bonuses.

Thanks for your help guys !!!!

if anybody that doesn't know and is curious here is a list of the bonuses for each test. It might make you guys wanna go back too and being turned evil isn't that bad in the end.

FEAR TEAR (the Nymph cloak)
Good: Immunity to +1 weapons or less
Evil: +2 CON

SELFISHNESS TEAR (sacrifice for companion)
Good: +10 resistance to magic
Evil: +2 to your AC

GREED TEAR (the Blackrazor sword)
Good: +2 to all saving throws
Evil: +15 to HP

PRIDE TEAR (the dragon)
Good: +20% resistances to fire, cold and electricity
Evil: Gain 200,000 experience

WRATH TEAR (Sarevok)
Good: +1 to WIS and CHA
Evil: +2 to STR

I think it is possible, but it wouldn't be easy to do. Another thing, is that the bonuses you get are applied as spells, rather than Affects, so I'm not sure if you can remove it. There's also the problem of reseting the whole Hell thing, because you have been to all the demons, so you'll need to reset the variables for those.

This basically means you have to reset all Globals and Affects to how it was when you first enters Hell. If you have a savegame before this, I would recommend that you play from there, if it's not too far back.

thats the problem...i have only one save

i found 2 called bhaal door and bhaaltest and deleted them

and then player1 fear through wrath...

i deleted them all and still the demons don't appear.... i think i am gonna try changing the variable of the player1 things and see if when i used the tear it gives me the desired effect...

That is what I mean by reseting the variables for the areas, because after you've been to a certain area, the game will save that in your save game.

Ok, here are the Globals set by the game when you open the door:
TearEye1
TearEye2
TearEye3
TearEye4
TearEye5
TearDoor
BhaalDoor

Delete all of the one above, and change the following to 1 - Good rewards, or 2 - Evil rewards

Player1Fear
Player1Selfish
Player1Greed
Player1Pride
Player1Wrath
