Kreia's Masterplan? SPOILER

Post by René »

What was Kreia's masterplan in guiding the Exile to Malachor V?

She said she wants to end the Force. How? She let the Exile live plus a bunch of Exile-trained Jedis. It seems a little bit stupid. Or another victim of the Obsidian / LucasArts-deadline?

Besides:
What intendend Kreia in having Hanharr attack Mira on Malachor V? Just amusement in causing mischief?

She wants the exile to kill her on Malachor V so that her death will create a big enough echo to actually bring the death of the force. Though this is what she says/hints her plan is, she never mentions how/why this is going to happen. You are also never given a clear indication IF this happens at all. All Kreia talks about is how Revan left off in search of the true Sith and maybe you will come to go after him/her as well.
Walk among them... these beasts that are less than you are. See their strength, see how easily you fall to their muscle and skill. Why do you stand for this, why do you submit to the flesh when death is bred in your bones?

I hoped the whole "wound in the force"-thing would come to a satisfying solution in the end, but it was only more mystic blabla.

Aah, how wonderful was KOTOR I, where the plot was at the beginning twisted and not easily to understand, but in the end it was all logical.

(spoilers)

Spoilers!! Seriously, don't read unless you've beaten the game.

Here's how I have pieced it together(sorry, it's a bit long):

Kreia wanted you to be able to stop all the corrupt Jedi and finish off the Sith, then move onto support Revan. She thought that she could get rid of them all by destroy the force. She could kill the "real" Sith, the pompous Jedi, and the Sith threatening the Republic this way. Apparently you have the power to drain the force from many people, like Nihilus, so she wanted you to abolish the force from the galaxy. This also has a flipside though, because even if you don't destroy the force, you have to face all your enemies, which will make you strong enough to survive the journey looking for Revan.

Kreia/Traya was a Sith and a Jedi. At the end though, she is neither. She manipulates Nihilus and Sion to fight you, thus ending the Sith threat in Republic space. She killed the remaining Jedi because they were too prideful and pompous. The Jedi council refused to accept their teachings were wrong, and blamed everyone except for themselves for the fall of the Jedi.

Through this journey, Kreia pushes you along to train new Jedi. This is the start of a new, more open Jedi Order. An Order that isn't closed minded and believes they know everything.

Lastly, I think she wanted you to follow her to the Trayus Academy to kill the rest of the Sith and discover what the real problem in the galaxy was(the Sith beyond the outer rim). She waits inside so you are forced to kill all the Sith inside the academy. Then when you finally reach Kreia at the end, you have gotten so accustomed to battle from killing all the Sith that you are protected from not getting injured if you hurt Kreia in battle. This was one of the problems all along; that if Kreia killed you, she would die, and if you killed her then you would die. After all this fighting though, you can finally kill her without ending your own life.

So ultimately, Kreia could be considered the savior of the Republic since she orchestrated the end of the Sith and corrupt Jedi. She also taught you about the real Sith and set you on the path to help Revan.

The ending would have been a lot less confusing if they just came out and said this though. My only thing left to figure is how Kreia planned to destroy the force...I should probably watch the ending again.

All I know is ending the Force had something to do with you being the wound. You were this big gapping hole, sort of like a black hole and thats about as far as I could figure it out. It seemed like it was all about ending the Force but then I thought maybe its teaching you to think for yourself and not follow a code. The handmaiden brings up you breaking the Jedi Code and Disciple talks about it too. And again Kriea says you are the strongest because you gave up the Force, one of the big problems with the council was they didn't see both sides and you did. eh who knows what really happened at the end other than Kriea died. At least we *think* she did. LOL
I think she just wanted to die and didn't know how to do it so she uses you. She says if she kills you though then all work is over... heck now I'm just confusing myself!!!
