about killing 1020 gaurds

Post by daveyknowlson »

how the heck are you meant to kill 1020 gaurds I've played the games for 45 hours and all I do is kill everything I can including very many gaurds at oakvale and so far my statistics show I've only killed 567 gaurds -thats through the whole game I have every stat maxed out and have completed everything possibly (I think) including collecting the hero dolls and the talentless bard so whats going on.

You need to kill 1020 guards in Oakvale without leaving the town. It is a very time consuming endeavor, and it's not that fun. The guards come in groups of three about every thirty seconds or so, so you kill three of them and wait for the next three to come (unless my copy is wierding out). My suggestion would be to make a chart of boxes that represent say twenty guards, and cross them out as you go along. It should take anywhere between five and eight hours to do, and as I said, it is mind numbingly boring after a while. Just try to make a game out of it or something.

Any thread that isn't on the forum subject, and any post that isn't about the thread subject. So telling another poster you found his post funny--that's spam. :D

Even though the post is in fact funny? I mean I found the post very funny.. so what do I do? do I copy the post from Alien_Newborn into the Speak Your Mind forum and add my comments? I mean I have read the rules but I never thought laughing out loud about a post which I honestly found entertaining would be considered spam.

I apologize to all the readers who might have found my post to be out of line and not related to the thread.

One last question.. if I had added something about the actual thread subject would it not have been considered spam?

Thanks

No, you either send him a PM, as you sent me, or you just keep on posting relevant messages, and trust that he understands his wit is appreciated. ;)

If it was on subject and informational in content--no problem. If it was just non-informational, that would be spam.

FWIW, I got bit by the mods in the BG2/SoA forum when I first posted there four years ago, for spamming. Didn't read the rules. :D

I wonder if you kill 1020 White Balverines do they turn into Minions or something? That would be cool.

1020 guards...

if you kill 1020 Guards in Oakvale one after the other, without leaving the area, the Guards will be replaced by White Balverines! =)

nothing special really it just something you do if you wanna gain tons of experience points, as some have pointed out it is a really big "waste of time" just something you do for the heck of it.

Fair enough. Who knows, maybe four years from now I'll be telling somebody to cut it out and stop spamming the forum too... life's full of surprises :D

What the hell is this supposed to mean and what is so supposedly funny about it? What I meant when I said it was that you're already playing a game, hence it would be pretty stupid to have to make a game out of a game. If you're trying to imply something, I'd like to know how close to Boston you live.

Please do send a messaqe sometime Alien_Newborn. ;) :D

Polyphemus, granted, it was a wise-ass reply. Still, you need to calm down. Your anger's pretty far over the line.

And I would ask everybody in this forum to read Buck's forum rules, with especial attention paid to these:

#1 - Flaming, humiliating, ridiculing, or belittling other members will not be tolerated. If you have an issue with another member, take it to private messages or email.

We do enforce these rules. Posts get pulled, and accounts get terminated for ignoring 'em repeatedly. Thanks.

Let's all calm down, leave the position of angry rebel to me. I love killing guards! Who doesn't, though I don't call a bunch of people and time each other. Sure, anyone who plays the game tries to kill as many gaurds as fast as possible. I got up to 103 and got bored. I beat the game now, so I feel completely accomplished.
