Peragus - Bug or not? (Spoilers)
Peragus - Bug or not? (Spoilers)
Hey, I'll try to describe the problem the best I can:
I am in Peragus - Hangar Bay, coming from the Fuel Depot.
I need to get to Hangar Control Terminal. I just killed about 5 droids in a corridor (on my right I can see the Ebon Hawk through the windows). At the end of this corridor there is a Fuel Depot door, which is shut. When I click to open it, it says: "You'll need to open this door by slicing the hangar terminal on the platform above."
I guess they mean inside the Hangar Control Terminal room. What I don't understand is, how can you open it using that hangar terminal, when you can't reach the hangar terminal!?
Earlier in the game you use the little droid in the Hangar Control Terminal and slice it to open the door to the Fuel Depot where he gets shot and thrown down the vents or so. How come the doors are locked again? And how am I supposed to open it again??
I explored everything from there, back to the place where keira leaves you to fight that ugly guy.
I even restarted the entire game from the beginning and still have the same problem. I looked in this forum for answers but found nothing concerning this problem. Does anyone know the answer please? I really don't want to get stuck this early in the game.
I have experienced many bugs/flaws in the game already (for ex: blackness, falling through walls or floors, the first time i played the little droid didnt even appear in the vents down in the Fuel Depot, etc ...)
So my question again: HOW CAN I PASS THE DOOR SO I CAN GET TO THE CONTROL HANGAR TERMINAL???
If u listend through the cutscen where Atton tries to open the door T3-M4 says he can open it. Just use T3 to open the door. Be prepared for some fighting when u get on the ship.
I don't get a cutscene at all! Atton doesn't try anything, all I can do is click on the door and it says it must be opened by the terminal where u look out on the ebon hawk. But I can't reach that terminal since that door blocks me from getting to it. Should I send you a screenshot of my current situation?

Use the same console that T3 used that had to be repaired at the beginning of the level, to get to that room make sure you have gone through both "fuel line doors" and deactivated the charges, then use the console on the ramp and disengage the force fields and all the doors other than the one to the hanger will open. Then use that damaged console overlooking the ebon hawk to open the door.
what?
"Use the same console that T3 used" - Which one? The one where he gets shot? It's the only other terminal i can get to with my character.
"both "fuel line doors" and deactivated the charges" - What fuel line doors, and what charges? I can't recall anything like that. Is it before or after Kreia leaves your party to fight that grey monster? Because if it is before it, then I can't get to it anymore as that door is shut from then on. So this means I have to start all over AGAIN!? I already restarted from the beginning, making sure I didn't miss anything, but still I end up having the same problem, I just can't get to that terminal overlooking the ebon hawk.
If I DO need to restart from the beginning since I forgot to do something before Kreia leaves me, then I hope someone will be so kind as to send me a savegame timed right before you get to the ebon hawk. I don't feel like playing 3 hours again to end up having that same problem over and over again. They shouldn't have made it possible for someone to get stuck anywhere in the game. I'm only in the first part of the game, and already am having difficulties getting further due to an unknown problem. I played Kotor 1 two times, and never experienced a similar problem. Were they drunk when making this sequel?
So please, if anyone could try and explain in detail what to do, or send me a savegame right before entering the ebon hawk. I prefer a 100% LS with all attributes invested in persuade. Of course, I would rather get there by myself though.
Thanks in advance.

I don't understand why your having so much trouble understanding this when three seperate people have described what you must do?!
Why don't you just go to the GB Kotor 2 walkthrough, it will lay it out for you so that even a brain dead monkey could understand

try that console. I didn't have any problems with it how odd. It was after kreia, you have to unset the charges in the tube you came from the republic ship on and the other tube. Then go up the ramp and you can turn off the force fields. Then go to the room with the console that over looks the Ebon Hawk and T3 will open the door to the hanger. And yeah try the walkthrough and the map that will help tons!
Macleod - thanks for the offensive behavior. I guess not all of us are as perfect as you are ...
As for the explanation and walkthrough, I have read all of the walkthrough concerning my problem, but nothing that's helpful whatsoever.
So I guess I got the game for nothing then. Can't play it anyway.
Result: KOTOR 2 S*CKS A$$!!

Alright I thought u were a little farther than what u are. You just came out of the fuel line where u found T3. Its the fuel line where u came from the Harbinger (the republic ship that docked where Sion is on). Now u turn to ur right take out the robots. Open the door and disable, blow up, or take the mine but make sure u get it out of the little area. Now fight to the next door and get rid of that mine. Now there should be a ramp with a terminal on it. Ignore it for now. Go on the right of the ramp and there should be another door with a mine in it. get rid of it. The only way u can get the terminal to turn the force fields off is if all the mines are takin out of those little placees where the doors were. Got it! If not than I dont know what to tell u. If so then yes send me the pic.
This may not help you much, UR, but I suppose you discovered a new, previously unknown bug - which may be the reason why everyone thinks of different doors and consoles (we are all agreed, I hope, that there are far too much doors, consoles, and especially FORCE FIELDS on Peragus anyway), and why the walkthroughs don't mention it.
If I get you right, you are talking about the door that was to T3-M4s right side when he first came from his storage room and entered the room with the hangar control console. At that time, both doors (left side to the Ebon Hawk, right side to the fuel depot) were locked and, when T3 tried to open them, gave the answer: "this door is magnetically sealed and must be opened by the console". When T3 went up the ramp to the console, he could not open the left one because of sabotage, but he could open the right one, through which he then proceeded to the lift, which took him up to the fuel depot. Now, when your whole party (Exile, Atton, T3) came back from the Harbinger, went through the fuel depot, took the lift and whacked the droids, the very same door which T3 opened by means of the console earlier is locked again. Is that a correct description of your problem?
If so, then you have a bug, as this door is supposed to stay OPEN once and for all after T3 opened it. I went back to my saves, played it once as LS male and once as DS female, did most things possible in opposite ways, even left the cable which is needed to repair the OTHER door voluntarily in the fuel pipe, but everytime, when I had passed by the droids, the door to the console room was open.
Probably a stupid question: you haven't by chance opened the door (as T3-M4) any other way than by the console? Demolitions, Security or whatever? I don't think it's possible, but something must have let it shut again, and the only thing I can think of is that it may have been opened in a way unforeseen by the game.
I'm sorry not to have a solution for this, as it is the first time I ever heard of someone with that problem. There are many reasons to take issue with KotOR II, but it shouldn't be something like that.
Is that a correct description of your problem?
THANK YOU LostJedi!!! You are my savier!
Indeed, your description of my problem is 100% correct, and as I assumed from the start, that door should have stayed open. That's why I couldn't figure out what everyone was saying about taking out mines and stuff.
BTW, you say your party (Exile, ...), who is Exile? Do you mean your own character?
In the mean time I already played the game 3 times, everytime trying and searching everything I can. I guess there just isn't a way to get over this BUG, is there? So I did get this game for nothing!?
You asked me if I opened that door on an usual way, well I just used T3 to get to that terminal overlooking the ebon hawk and sliced it to open the right door, using a spike. Any other ways to open it were not available as it said "Impossible".
I wish there was a way to get past this bug. Maybe sending me a savegame right after you got through that door would help??
Please, I really want to continue playing this game, but I guess I'll need to wait untill someone delivers me a savegame.
Can you, please?
I would be very grateful!
Thanks in advance.

?!?
Ok, i just played the game for the FOURTH TIME, and i just arrived at that door AGAIN. Only now it appears to be open. THANK GOD!
I don't understand why, probably a BUG. Also, i saw certain parts were different this time, for example green gas in the rooms where u get the holologs to put in the holo reader. During the first 3 times playing it, there was no gas to be seen.
So my question to get a savegame is outdated, i got through myself, hopefully not to find any more of such bugs in the game.
Thanks to all for the advice!

these posts may have addressed this and if they did, forgive me.
very close to where you find T3, there is a piece of the hangar control lying on the ground. it is right on the floor where the mine and T3 were. did you pick that up? if you did, ignore this post. if not, this is the piece T3 uses to restore power to the hangar control terminal.
remember, if you cannot solve this particular problem, just reload a new character. the entire peragus thing doesnt take that long if you know exactly where to go. good luck!
