Soloing

What is the best class to solo as in everyone's opinion? Also, what would you pick if you chose five people (a multiplayer party with one free space for NPC's)???

Kensai/mage!
I solo with this one and it's alot easier than playing with a party. I used the exp cap remover and i love the "Timestop, greater malission, desintegrate, finger of deth" combo. Robe of vecna and amulet of power is a must.

Do you start with a kensai you just made and dual in the game (and at what level) or do you import an old character? And if you import do you use the trick to keep his stuff? And how do you get past all the traps and locked doors and chests without a theif? I know these are a lot of fairly stupid questions, but I was just wondering.
