mix and match armors?

Post by nahul »

Does anyone know if there are any penalties to wearing medium, light, and heavy armor pieces at the same time? I noticed that i can travel easier and move more freely by wearing all light armor, but what if i wear all light armor except for medium greaves (i still haven't found glass greaves yet), and also wear the 2 heavy gauntlets that grant the plus 20 strength and endurance. I am still wearing a majority of light, so would there be a penalty, or would i still be travelling as if i was wearing all light? Thanks in advance!

No penalties. The only effect is that when you're hit in different areas, different skills are improved.

Actually, a lot of people wear a combination of armors, precisely to increase all of their armor stats simultaneously. If you are on Xbox and don't have access to mods, the light and heavy are the best to use, since medium armors are a bit lacking in quality.

yup, i want to do all light and heavy, but until i either get my heavy skill up so i can wear some good heavy greaves, or find glass greaves, i am still stuck with wearing the medium orcish greaves :( Other than that, i am loving the whole mixing and matching, especially since both my light and medium skills are almost maxed out now. Thanks for the info!

You can find glass greaves - if you want them - at one of the towers at Ghost Gate. Or, in either one of the Redoran or Hlaalu treasuries in Vivec. You'll need a good security and sneak skill to get any of them though.

Your welcome. ;)
Or, in either one of the Redoran or Hlaalu treasuries in Vivec.
What about the Telvanni one? That one is loaded and it's so easy to get the treasure.

If you come back to this thread i just want to tell you a good place to find glass greaves (if you play xbox version). Go to the fighters guild in Ald-Ruhn and downstairs in the level 100 locked door, you can find in the two chests: Glass helm, armor, greaves, boots, and Orcish armor, pauldrons, and bracers.
Even in the time when I was cool..... alas I was still uncool
