I remember reading on a different post that you had to have your LOVETALK rating to 53 before "killing" dermin. I just had a encounter with Dermin and after some words he left without a fight, is that the same encounter? my lovetalk is only 47. Does Dermin come back after doing his buissness and then force a fight?
Also just in case anyone wanted to know, your romance CAN develop in the underdark, at least with jaheria.

I dont think so, he comes 3 times in the game.
and by the way if you are out of the underdark, I give you a warning, Jaheira romance is *very* tied to the Harpers quest and because of that is very easy to go in to a loop and it takes just to long time to get it on.I hope that bioware is working on that for a new patch because there is still a lot of problems in Jaheira romance and other stuff that need some work.
But Jaheira romance, like the one with Amoen, have a happy ending (the other two dont. well In my point of view they dont).
