Divine Divinity must be a really good game, however, the only thing that prevents me from buying it is that it is said to be protected by Starforce, which totally kills your cd-rom drive, AND prevents the game from working if you have any cd-emulation program such as Alcohol 120%.
If that is true, is there any way you can play without the cd-rom in your drive, or uninstall/neutralize Starforce? I don't feel like getting a crack. Larian Studio is a small really good company, plus, I need the patches to get this game working properly

I've played through it twice. If it does use Starforce, it certainly didn't wreck my CD-ROM drive. I suggest you check out Larian's tech pages, to see what they have to say on this.
