Ming must die (spolier kind of)

I'm in the Temple at the large door with the bar you have to push to get it open. Unfortunatly I can't find a way to push the bar. Do I have to get something to stand on so it is at hand hight? I tried blood buffing thinking my strength wasn't high enough but that wasn't the problem.

Any help would be much appreaciated.
