Telos - Escaped Criminals...? (Spoilers)

Post by Ryngard »

Well, I went to Grenn and got the quest. THEN I went to Czerka for the first time and saw them there and said, "Aren't you the two escaped criminals?" and had heard the whole conspiracy of sending them to the planet. I then continued the game and eventually told Grenn where they were and he said he needed them dead or alive.

So, a little later I head to the planet and cannot find them. I heard that they replace a couple humans in the bit merc fight but they don't in my game. ANY help would be great because I want to finish the quest.
May the Force be with you...

spoilers

It's a little strange, but I'm pretty sure you have to lie to Lt. Grenn and tell him that you followed them and killed them already. Then when you go to the planet's surface you'll meet them and catch up to your lie. I think you meet them just before you get to the clearing where Bao Dur says something about loving walking the surface of Telos and soon after suggests hugging the cliffs or the beach to sneak around the group of mercs.
Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and
flutter,
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore;
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed
he;................................
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.

Same here. Tried different ways.
Don't speak to Grenn after seeing them at Czerka.
Speak to Grenn but don't admit killing them yet after seeing them at Czerka.
Lie that you killed them to Grenn.
All three iterations and I never saw either of them on the Telos surface. Bug??/

No you don't have to lie to Lt. Grenn. I found those 2 on the surface of Telos. Right after you kill that Twilek and her two war droids. A little bit further down the two are standing their and waiting for you.

The first two times i played i lied once and the secound i didn't but it didn't trigger. So i guess just walk when on telos, because i used burst of speed and maybe it just didn't trigger.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one this happened to. My brother was playing through a game, and he killed them where they were supposed to be. But I went there and they weren't there, went back and forth on the planet and didn't find them. It's a very tricky and selective mission, and I don't get who it chooses to favor. Just know its not me.

Next time I'm just going to lie about it. I hate unfinished quests.

Like its the only bug...

There are more missions in the game which are next to impossible to complete 100%.Check this out:I go to Nar and kill the guy in the flophouse(Loopa is the name or something)then I go to his wife, tell her I found him,she goes there and when I go back I find her and she !THANKS ME! for finding her husband!!!If they had spent just a little more time in fixing the quests there wouldn't be so many problems damn it!!!I even KILLED the Handmaiden once.Totaly I mean....it just sucks man....

I Found Them

I've owned this game for years and apart from lying to Lt. Grenn I have never been able to find and kill said criminals on Telos' surface. But today I found them -- after you defeat the first patrol, straight after you crash, you turn left and see another patrol droid; after defeating this there's a corner, before the beach, where there are two mines and mercenaries. Now, previously, these mercenaries were human thugs -- this time, they were the two escaped criminals.

Obviously, all this time, the criminals had been replaced with human replicas. I didn't do anything different in my game-play, so I suspect it was the result of the Sith Lords Restoration Mod, 1.6a. Already I've found restored content, and I'm sure this is too. I've played through Telos dozens of times, filling out every area of the map, and this is the first time I've found them.

Hope this helps :p

been a while since I played it but I remember that particular quest being extremely buggy. I think I ended up using a player-made patch to fix it (and some other issues) but unfortunately I can't remember where I got the fixes from
