AAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHh
Okay I just installed TSL on my PC, I get through creating my character, and as soon as I hit play I get a blank screen and then an error message. The only thing I'm missing on my cumputer is the ATI card but I didn't have it when I played the original KOTOR and I didn't have any problems playing it. Any suggestions?

I have DirectX 9.0c like it wants, but it says my graphics card is no supported, and that I don't have minimum requirements for the game on the card. I don't know what kind of graphics card I have. I keep looking and can't seem to find out.

A blank screen after character configuration is a known bug for folks with an ATI card. Supposedly, the upcoming patch (due out later this week, or so we're told) should address this.

Let's not get into PC vs Xbox, okay? Especially when the thread's supposed to help somebody.
Try here for further information from Lucasarts. If your graphics card isn't supported, then that's a problem, but one which is easily fixable: just upgrade. Prices for video cards are low if you avoid the one or two top-of-the-line items, and extra memory is incredibly inexpensive these days.

All the problems seem to be coming from high-end machines! Apart from the usual item pickup spots only working from a certain direction, some dialogue screens skipping, etc, I have had ZERO problems with this game from start to finish, not a single terminal game-restarting bug. My system? An Athlon1200, 512MB DDR RAM, and a 32MB GeForce 2 MMX graphics card.

Wahhhhhhhhhhhhh
Okay I just bought a $100 GeForce FX 5200 and the darn thing won't fit in my PCI card slot. So now it's going back and I'm going to try buying the Radeon 9200 instead. *sighs* Pretty soon I'm going to buy the darn X-Box just to not have to mess with all the computer nonsense.

Try this if you have an ATI Radeon graphics card and you're having trouble...it has been working for most people:

Whoa... Lady, did you buy a AGP card or a PCI card? Theres a HUUUUGE difference between the two. I mean massive. AGP cards won't fit into an PCI slot, nor will PCI cards fit into a AGP slot.
The agp slot is a brown slot, usually at the top of the PCI's(the white ones), and is a tad off center. If you bought an AGP video card, and have an AGP slot, you're good togo. However, if you have one of those "Bargain" PC's (cheap dell, ANY gateway, low end Sony Vaio, any HP, ANY Compaq, or E-Machines), chances are, they jipped you out of an AGP port to save money.
Before you take your card back, take a look at the slots again.
Take my advice, I run a computer shop for a livin
