Kensai/Mage question

I'm playing a kensai/mage (kensai lvl9, mage lvl 15) and I spent all my profency slots on long sword and dual wielding. So now I wonder, will I get more profiency slots to spend and will I be able to put them on war hammers (I want to wield Crom Faeyr) as I'm only advancing as a mage?

Sorry a mage (I believe ) Can only add to : Dagger, Staff , Sling and Darts.
