!! --- TEST --- The BEST Combo !!

Post by WarlordTCK »

It's not the most damaging one.
Ref : My test conc. the most damaging combo.

The best combo is :

Dual Crom Fayer + Flail of Ages ?

Proficiencies:

*** ****

Advantages :

- Mass Damage
- With Improved Haste and Boots of Speed
7 (!) attack per round
- Flail of Ages's Slow Effect (no save hehe)

And yes, about the slow effect.
Have you ever considered that this is
even better than Blackrazor's level drain ?
There's no Save against that.
A slowed target, even equipped with
2 Blackrazors, with 787 HP and AC 0, is killed in 64 sec and can't even touch you.

And, the final touch, is that it looks
pretty well - An outrageous stupid-crushing
Warrior.

Disadvantages : too powerful. Looks like cheat.

Advantages: it isn't.

Test for yourself if don't believe me.
Waiting for your comments.

True theres no save against the slow effect on flail of ages...but there is only a chance of it actually slowing an opponent...I'm not sure how thats calculated but it seems like a slim chance to me. (without cheating to increase attacks or something)

A slim chance, YES, but without Crom Fayer.

The max damage my pure fighter has done
STR 4
INT 2
WIS 3
CHA 4
DEX 3
CON 3

duel wielding two clubs is 5 points in one round.

I hope this has put an end to this competition.

FoulDwimmerlaik,

Wow !!! You're the best one.
How you did it ? Your fighter is
a champion, sure.

I said Improved Haste, not Improved Curse

I am currently playing a F/M/C who dual wield Flail of Ages and Defender of Easthaven.I am currently in Cp3-but i have done most side quests. From my experience,if you have a decent THAC0,the flail has a chance to slow an opponent around 50%.I think it is an incredible weapon.

An example:i killed Firkragg aided by two hasted Aerial servants-the slowed dragon went down before he could scratch me (i only used 2 of my 4 stoneskins).

Flail of ages is indeed a great weapon...that can hit almost any enemy, except for a few... and will slow them sometimes. As far as pure damage dealing weapons go however...it does not rank very high...but is still a great weapon. My cleric used it untill he got crom_faeyr.

I'm not sure on the % chance for slowing with FoA, but I concur on the best weapon combo...except for Raging barbarians. My tests gave the same results.

Nighthawk,

Just test it !
With Crom Fayer, your attacks are
sucessfull most of times. If you weild
Flail in the main hand, your TAC0 in
each hand will be the same.
And, believe me, you slow the target
very, very quickly.
