Missing content compiled

A great compilation of missing content:

text and speech (e.g. HK-47 tortures HK-50)!

Thanks man!!! This confirmed all my suppositions, including the one that Obsidian was in a way or another rushed to launch the game.

Do you know for instance when that dialogue of Bastila was supposed to show up? I mean the one said by HK-47 when it talks about examples of encountered behaviors on meatbags.

I just listened to the files for the first time and, you know, maybe there was reason other than a rush to production as to why some of these dialogs were cut. Perhaps it's because there's no real visual, sound effects, et al to contrast them but some of the dialog was just plain bad and seemed poorly executed (particularly the Atton death scene).

But again, I'm sure that's because I'm listening to the audio only. For instance, I just in a fit of complete boredom I just finished Kotor 1. Looking at it objectively, the story, dialog and ending were horribly cliched (exploding Star Forge with the Hawk flying out in the nick of time) but with the production value, it was extremely satisfying.

It comes from one of those Influence:Success dialog options.

But how do you influence HK-47? I tried to be nice, but it doesn't work. Of course being lightsided i said that he should not kill and things like that. Have to be dark for him to talk?

Yes you have your point there. But think it, if they had no "level cap" (i mean time cap) then they could have do all that scenes and better all things up.

I agree that the deadline was a major factor in most of the missing scenes. I was just saying that just because the dialog was recorded, doesn't mean that it was meant for the final version. Why it's still in the game is beyond me though. I sum it up as being similar to some deleted scenes you see on DVDs where you say to yourself, "yeah, that was definitely cut for a reason".

Regarding influence, well think about it. HK is dark side, so evil actions will make him happiest. At one point, he'll ask you a question when you try to end the conversation and you have the option of telling him that the next person who tries to stop you when you want to leave will die. You get some positive influence from that.

Match your responses to the NPC's disposition and you'll get influence. Kreia likes neutral responses, Candy and HK like evil responses, and so on.

It also relates to what sex (and possibly dark/light ending) you set Revan to via the dialogue with Atton way back on Peragus.

I had Revan set to a female and only got the Carth mockery from HK.

Getting influence with HK requires a lot of dark side murders. If you have him along for Dxun/Onderon it should be enough. Finding the lost Mandalorian, theres two influence gains right there for telling the stranded soldier he can rot, and then blowing him up with the detonators.

I think you need around 5 influence gains to get HK to speak this line, about the same as him teaching you Jedi killing techniques (boost to stats).
